What to be

Go Kbots then:
*you are in the frontline (the enemy doesnt haves to pass over anyone to get to you).
*you are behind someone, far from sea, and dont like (or there is too few people to) go air.
Go Vehicles then:
*This guide tells you to go kbots but the map is flat enough for vehicles.
Go ships then:
*You are not in the front line and near the sea.
Go hovers then:
*This guide tells you to go ships but the sea is small or haves no metal.
Go air then:
*You are behind someone, far from sea and likes going air.
I hope this stops people from making stuff like starting air on the frontline

Go ships when:
*You are not in the front line and near the sea and you want a challenge.
Go hovers when:
*This guide tells you to go ships but you don't want to loose the sea later on to hueg armies of hovercrapts.
Go air when:
*You built a kbot lab in the back of the team's area - air first is PHAIL.
I hope this makes me look as a shining beacon of righteousness

Just pointing out this is for BA. In xta you can viably start with any t1 lab.
Starting hovers/t2 is phail.

Doesn't matter what you start out as, you can do the nuke rush with any factory on speedmetal.

Use then when:
- You want to express a chronological order.

Yes, you are right. There are already detailed guides made for ever single aspect of BA and for this reason all of those who give a try at making one must be disecouraged to dead!
Talking seriously, i wanna share what I know with the comunity. If you dont like it, just ignore the fact that I exist
And dont edit my posts. I DONT LIKE THAT!

The Korogth is the best unit in the game, so start with kbot so you can access the gantry faster.

Do you know the use of a nano ??? ... if you're on the back of the team you have a limited land to built ... so you can make nano all over ^^
In some maps it is possible to begin air on the frontline ... my favorite for that is tangerine ... but there is a raison : the power of 6k Metal in all the rocks :D

But its also dangerous cause if your enemy notices it you are probaly going to be rushed to dead by his land forces... and before you say "I can defend myself with gunships" remember that your enemy must be THE stupid to not bring samsoms!

nano is energy intensive, and to get the nanos you need an energy intensive air con first, why not just pump out 3 kbot cons first to make solars winds and mexes first and reclaim the kbot lab before switching to air? Or you could just sit and watch yourself stall making a nano.

Do you know that I'm one annoying and weird player???? I love to complain and whine a lot.... the only maps I play are the 3 porc maps and greenfields.... I'm a prime example of why most most French spring players are hated^^
In some maps it's possible to go air first but you will fail hard.... because air first is utter failure.... slow cons will be the doom of you..... and energy intensive cons means that I have to leech on my team's energy :D

Tangerine is not really a very porc map since you gain a nice advantage if you push the tiny frontline to the enemy upon start... and there are also the seas but for some reason its rare to see 2 players fighting for the control of the same of em.
Metal heck, speed metal and greenfields are probaly a lot porcer...

Tangerine isn't a porcy map?
Lies and slander I say!
Here's how you play tangerine in uberporc mode :
1. Rush hovers.
2. capwn enemy sea, if any.
3. spam hovar cons.
4. get all sea mex.
5. use rocks if needed ofc.
6. begin operation : Spam tidal and naval MM├óÔÇ×┬ó.
Wait 10 minutes.
200 metal + 7k E or so.
All with d-fens of naval hlt / torps / AA all over the place \o/.

Since I never saw a tangerine game like this, I guess you are exagerating "a litte bit"...

by Foxomaniac
I'm not exaggerating - I'm totally serious.
With a little luck and skill - you can pull off 200 metal at the 20 mins in-game, switch to a land-based/air fac and spam whatever the heck you want \o/.
done it plenty of times

.
Do be ready to hit unit limit a few times though.
