Plasma deflectors

Im confused about how plasma deflectors work... first, does it absorvs the impact completly or just bounces the shot away? And second, does it protects only the area inside the shield or it may also protect areas imediatly behind it since the shot would need to pass thru the shield to hit those areas?

Plasma deflectors are deprecated, use the shield system.

plasma deflector or shields sucks ... you have to kill bertha ... because all these let some missile attack and destroy u ... attack and dont always defend !!!

(it stops when a player try to attack with bertha and deflect if it's units or if the player try to attack just behind the plasma deflector)

I know the main defense is to attack the bertha, but I need something to keep my lovely economy from being pounded by it while I prepare the attack... :P

seen as im a sm freak myself.... ive never gone for bertha power, one thing i have noticed when defending against a vulcan ect. is that some shot actually go through your sheild? i dont see why this happens on rare times but its very annoying and have to rebuild all teh NANOS!

Those shields don't stay up forever. Good for Tremors, good for Goliaths/Bulldogs/whatev plasma based inside, good for Berthas/Timmies (mostly). Really, really not good for RFLRPCs.

Also, they need energy to stay up.

The Plasma deflector works by "pushing" the shot away so he might not be able to keep a shot from hitting you if the shot comes from the right angle with the right speed.
