Spring RTS Engine

Heres an example: If a player loses poorly, rather than saying "try that differently next time" or "Hey I'll give you some pointers" or "Dont do that next time" or even being indifferent to the situation, they usually say "Man you sucked. What a f***ing n00b. Hey, I think you SHUDA MARD MOER D-FENS! what a n00b" or "what a useless f***ing n00b", etc. I know that most people act like that, but it can be a real pain a lot of the time. If they're all pissed off about that guy losing, they should at least tell them what they did wrong. 80% of the people I run into are like that.

That's because 80% of the time when I give someone advice they're too proud to accept it and usually say 'stfu mind ur own business!!' or whatever.... (this is people who play terribly, not just me being a bossy jerk)

it's not just one way

that's not a problem with spring, that's a problem with people. always has been and always will. everywhere, in every community.

Unhappyfull this is true. People somehow think that the bad player low efficiency is his fault, while the true is that he is trying the most he can.

What. I've played Spring for, let's see, 17638 minutes, and I've yet to run into one player like that.

If you were to complain about Spring players lacking any sort of basic patience whatsoever, then I'd agree with you.

Uhh, how about instead, we keep in mind that that is behavior of most people playing online games, ever?

maybe i've been sheltered but i dont anyone ive encountered in TASlobby comes close to the amount of idiocy in any other online game ive played

Sometimes i say : "hey guys u dont have done your work ... u have to blablabla" ... but most of times it's : " sorry boy ... i have forget to blablabla" ...

i think we have to take us responsabilities ... and let the noobs make bad defense or bad army is the responsibility of the stars !!! Try to give them some advises and if u loose it will be because your advises were not good !!!

So i think lot of time when we loose it's because opponents have make a more good battle !!!

after a while you tend to learn the decent people from the douchebags, and not play with the scum. generally the more noobish the game, the worse the manners.

I tend to call star players "fucking n00bs" when they are retarded in game and ignore any messages/pointers I make on the map. Basically anyone that's played enough that they SHOULD be at least average and it turns out they are noobstar.

As far as proper noobs go, I'm normally pretty nice to them ¬_¬. They have an excuse (they are infact new to the game) and spring community isnt gonna get any bigger if we keep telling them to F off.

most the noobstars have started new accounts after the smurf thing so hopefully less of them around,

Let's just accept it: Spring is really, really hard. I've got a star account, and I still get pantsed pretty consistently if I play against any moderately good players.

So the whole "star" thing is kinda silly.

New ranks imo.

The problem is that people arent ranked for skill... so we must spect some low ranks being good players and some good ranks being bad players.
