Game Movies?

How you guys go about doing it? what programs do you use? I've often wondered but never asked.

One of the higher F buttons makes Spring record a movie all by itself.

F10...but it doesn't record sound.

gamecam lite worked best for me, also records sound. (lite version is free, dont know whats different in full version)

even on my old 1GHZ i could play and record most games at the same time without much fps-lag.
but now the new version always crashes (for me atleast) :(

Fraps for winner. Demo version is limited to 30 seconds though. Also the output will be uncompressed video/audio and it records "What You Hear", i.e. winamp in the background will get recorded as well IIRC. You'll have to use a tool like VirtualDub (with ffdshow video codecs and LAME mp3 codec) to properly compress video and audio, though.

Others probably compress on the fly which might be an advantage over fraps but I still quite like it.
