Spring RTS Engine

I had a pleasant surprise today when i joined a game of delta siege dry. Allies are a 4 stripe and a 2 stripe. 4 stripe starts by metal stalling before he builds his first mex. 2 stripe starts by building a couple mexes and then idling his com (presumably not for long, but I didn't stick around to watch. I tried to take the big hill in the middle of the hilly bit and failed. My allies had expanded some but not as much as I thought they should; and the opponents had free reign of the middle on the plane. I'm thinking here we go again.

Then one of them says 'I'll scout and find a weakpoint and we'll attack. He then points out a com, so I send my hoarde of kbots, and find that both my allies have also sent large hoardes of kbots, and we swarmed the opponents big time, who got caught in the back row with tech 2 factories and econ stuff started, but not enough tech 2 units to avoid going down hard.

Teamwork and level 1 spam for the win :D

if you play for long enough you'll have plenty.

i played some games with steven some times and he played okay in a few games

Players I like working with? Hurm... I pretty much run the whole community there.

Chapparal and I aren't a bad duo. I also like working with Wasp. Looking further afield, pretty much anybody from [EE] is good in my book. [SmuG] is also up there. DemolitioN is one of my favourite allies, but so is [WarC]Daywalker... I would play more with them if I could. ZellSF, Tired, [LCC]Lordmatt, [XHC]Cabbage, flopflop, [LCC]Fox... they all make the cut as well.

Really, I like running with about forty other players. I have enough people I want to play with that I could handle an 8v8, no issues.

[LCC]Lion_Heart is my favorite ally. You could count on one hand the number of times we have lost when we played together. But of course all of LCC are good allies. Really, anyone who knows what they are doing, isn't petty about things, and stays in tune with the overall team game is a good ally.

So long as im playing with someone that does not whine about my units being in their space... Its one thing to make a few hundred peewees and cause some traffic jams, but another to complain about someone using the wide-open area thats on "your side", which hasnt been touched 30+ minutes into a game.

Best people ive played with? As far as I can remember:
Snoob, P3374H, Gizmo, pac300... Im sure theres more, but none that I can remember at the moment. Im not that great at this game and more often than not I end up playing Sim-base or screwing around, so im not really one to give a crap about the players abilities. Complete noob or not, teamwork is what it really comes down to.

Yeah, it should be OUR space...

I think that the best type of teammate is the one that helps you then you need and asks help then he needs. A teammate that ignores you completly or that doesnt call the team's attention to the fact he is losing is not a good one.

Smug Goats [SmuG] are amazing allies. Of course, I am one, so I may be biased.

But other than that, I'd say the LCCs are my bois. I started playing Spring with most of them, and we learned a good deal together. Supposedly Lion_Heart is really good now too, ha ha. I kinda wish i hadn't stopped playing, so I coulda matured and evolved with the rest of my homeboys :<

Generally anyone who has internalized that this is a team game. People who will instantly share 90% energy when someone else's lasers need it. People who help build important stuff without being asked. In short: people who watch out for and help each other.

I once played a 3 vs 3 on greenfields where my two allies left. I took their bois, atlased them over the map only to find that the three enemies had started very close together.

those were the allies that i hated least of all.

wait no thats stupid! why should i help an ally? if he has estall, he should have spammed more windmills. i'd prefer to just focus on my part of the map, and ignore all the rest. after all, a 3 vs 3 game is basically just 3 1 vs 1 games played on the same map! (and the only reason to play a team game is so you can blame your allies if you lose and take credit for team win if you win!)

I hate allies who come over and attack my enemy! I hate allies who ask for help because they are to n00b to handle their enemy!

Mong, Ivory King, Noruas, Paulada, Gurrag have all saved me numerous times when my blitzkrieg has petered out and im left too far fowards and exposed. Both [RoX] and [ukm] are great for "im e stalling" - get given a minifusion- type situations.

I would say that El_barto and Myg were good allies, but i honestly cant remember a game ive played with them where i have done something other than attack one of them relentlessly (encouraging my team to do so as well) untill one of us is destroyed Definitely my favourite adversaries though
