Spring version 0.70B3 won't even start!

Hi all,

I'm a bit new here, but I do recognize some people from TAD. Anyways, I used to have Spring and it ran beautifully.......until my hard drive died, way back when. I decided the other day to have another go at it, downloaded and installed it, followed the first couple of steps in the "Getting Started" section of the readme, and it.....does....not.....start. I thought maybe I had goofed up somewhere, so I tried it on my work PC, with a couple different settings. Ran beautifully. So I came home and removed it, rebooted and did the exact same thing on my home PC as on my work PC, and it had no effect.

Specifically, what happens when I double-click the spring.exe file, is I get a 320X200 view of the top-right of my desktop, and I can move the mouse cursor in a tiny part of that. Maybe 30X100 pixels in size. It jsut sits there. Any thoughts?

In case it matters, I'm running WinXP Pro SP2 on an Athlon 64 3300+, Geforce 6200 OC, with a gig of RAM. In the infolog (is it the infolog you techie guys are after?) it just says User Exited. Help!

I've been having a similar problem with a geforce 7600 gs, it was fixed when I switched it into a window

Um, why are you trying to run Spring 70B3?

Get 74B3!

Uh... its the latest version that I downloaded. That's what it says it is. Unless I'm looking in the wrong spot. Whatever. I'll try that and see how it turns out.

Well, I tried it in a window and it ran quite nice. Is there a fix where one can run it full screen tho?

And one more question: How do you pcik between Arm and Core? Where do you edit that?

You pick your side in the lobby (TASclient).
