Spring RTS Engine

ok topic title self explains my problem
but here's what's really bugging me
it's a no disk game yet i get a windows error telling me to put a disk in..
i can sign in...then it screws up when i try to make the game open
it comes up with a window when i try to launch saying
"disk error, there is no disk in the drive please insert a disk into the drive"

can anyone help me on this one?

Download the latest full version of spring.

i just downloaded spring like an hour ago XP

It would be nice if the " latest full version of spring" was released

You're not trying to open it through the original TA .exe or anything like that are you?

i'm using the spring battle launcher i can get into the lobby then i get a disk error asking me for a disk when i try to launch the actual game

What happens if you run spring.exe directly?

It sounds very weird because we don't have any code checking for any disc at all in spring...

It's a legitimate question, no reason to flame him for it. Other people have come on this forum asking whether they needed OTA to play Spring, and one guy thought Spring was a mod for OTA, so no need to get offended, it's just that some people don't realize that Spring is a wholly separate program from OTA.

Thats if you launch TASClient.exe...

Try going to C:\Program Files\Spring\ (or whereever you installed it) and run spring.exe. Does that work?

i'll try that as soon as i can actually get on my computer XP
thanks for that i'll update when i've finally got the chance to try it

edit:
i tried the spring.exe and that won't load the game up..it launches a blank windows and it stays like that..
any suggestions?

Could we have some hardware specs, also do you have the latest video drivers?

specs...
well i got definately above 512 ram
on an 80 gig HDD switching to 400 GIG on thursday
and as for sound and graphics i'm gonna buy those cards maybe tomorow for when i get the new HDD sorted out

something tells me it's graphics ruining this for me because i just snuck it onto my mom's computer and it turns out it works on her's perfectly fine

Lolz, woah, if your Mother's computer is better than yours you defiantly need to get an upgrade.

Fact:
Mother != having a good system

Anyway, try to be a little more descriptive next if you can, such as you video card model etc...
