Spring RTS Engine

hi, im interested in doing some textures for TA spring, but cnt find where they are stored.
i have done quite a bit of textures in the past so im not a total noob to makeing textures for games but i just cnt find them for TA.

could some one please point me in the right direction

If you talk about TA's textures then it's .\Spring\base\tatextures_v062.sdz
Most of the TA mods use that instead of distributing the textures by themselves.

how do i access the texture files? what puligin do i need?

.sdz = zip
.sd7 = 7zip

You can open that sdz file with any program which supports zip.
