Check out the replay site at http://www.unknown-files.net/replays/index.php.

Someone has recently uploaded some good replays between highly skilled players - see games 150 to 152 in particular. I'm sure most players could learn from these.

First, something is up with the site, I can only see replays on the first page and if I go back I get no entries. Second, those replays would be helpful for many, but not the higher rank clans and the stalwart independents.

I think it's because replays with old version of spring are hidden (for good reason!)?!

Indeed, only current replays are shown. Lots of people were telling me to put that in, so i did.

Ive changed it now so old replays are shown at the bottom, with newer ones at the top.

What exactly is it that breaks replays each version?
I watched the replay "Ray tries to hold back the tide" which is a 0.74b1 replay and it starts off fine but then my com starts receiving random orders (which cant be seen) to bomb the guy in the middle (which i didnt do ofc ;p)

Replays only contain the user commands (that's the only thing sent over the net). Between multiple versions the simulation code is often fixed/broken/modified in a number of ways, causing the replay to get out of sync...

Basically every new spring release the replays stop working from the ones before :)

yeah I know how it works I was just wondering why an old replay like that did such strange things.
No chance of backwards compatability at all? :-)

No. If you want a relatively backward compatible "replay" then you should probably make a mission script of some sort. Not sure whether they can move the camera around already tho...

Alright I just uploaded an Altored replay for people who want to see how it can be played. Shows off the "in-thing" in units for the moment and how to take the advantage at the front aswell as economise. Take note of the use for T1 air cons to make a reclaim economy and vastly improve build power for spamming units.
