Im sick of people joining XTA games, playing awfuly then having a strop when you point out where they went wrong, so I took an hour to start an XTA Stratergy guide. its GOING to be 20 parts, its currently only two. this is what Ive done so far.
Upcoming pages cover
+l1 units
+defences
+dealing with raiders
+economy
+l1 tactics
+teching up
+l2 economy
+l2 strats
+radar, jamming and spies.
+how to attack a defended position.
+"when you see this, you count with...."
any other ideas? when complete, it will be released on one webpage which ill stick somewhere.

I think you exagerated a little in the enfasis of not com bombing, because if your com bomb takes the enemy com down too an the explosive action is gonna happen on their base, its worth doing

.
Beside that its a nice guide

teching nubs combomb is win will not make for good games, they can learn that themselves. this is just to inform all the nubs that suck and think they own.

This is awesome. As a newbie XTA player, its tough to play against the KnoXians and their uber l33t skillz. Good Work!
Also, could you specify what maps those screenshots were taken from? They all look awesome.

Its even harder now the KnoXians have disbanded.

If they have disbanded it may be a good idea to reopen that xta balance thread in the mods section, it probably shouldnt have been closed in the first place tbh.
Nice work on the strat guide btw ivory.

I just think that you puted so much enfasis in not combombing that people who learn to play using your guide might not even try it thinking its always waste... altough a person must be a zumbi to follow a guide so heavly

yah this is a beginners guide. decent players know all this already.

You'd be surprised. A lot of experienced players considered the elite regularly flout these rules and suffer the consequences but make up for it via other things.

The little box summing up rockos and crashers is the same as the hammer and thud one.

-> commander + builders can assists factories to speed up production
-> if you build "2 cons, 5 crashers" you will only have very few units in the beginning, a new player should probally build at least 2 peewees so he can protect himself.
->add hotkeys into the text when you describe something (ground attack, buildorders,d-gun, line-movement,...)

knorke peewees are appalling at unit vs unit. Any other arm t1 bot would be superior. I use peewees almost exclusively for rushing/raiding/getting los, never for defence
