I made some experiments with krogoths:

They take (assuming they will fight back):

*More of 200 raiders to kill

*around 20 goliaths to kill

*4 Juggernaunts to kill

*around 14 direct nuke hits to kill

Arent those numbers impressive :-) .

You must have been bored beyond belief to have the patience to kill a krog with a peewee.

I once killed a krog with a picture of my mother. It then died instantly from a heart attack. This is serious balance issue because everyone plays krog rush games... kekeke

The only thing I know that stands a shadow of a chance agaist a Krogoth in BA (beside another Krogoth :-) ) its a Juggernaunt. But since this unit is also from core maybe core super kbots are in fact overpowered in BA :( .

and how many raiders / goliaths can you make for the same cost / time it would require to build a krog?

For the same cost in metal (just metal because its the more important and calculating with both values would be a headache :-) ) that you take to make a Krogoth in The new version of BA, you can make around 129 raiders and 25 goliaths.

In the same time you make a Krogoth in the new version of BA, you can make around 71 raiders and 12 goliahts.

So looks like that then you make a krogoth, you get high firepower in small time but at a high waste of metal :-) .

And looks like raiders are underpowered :( .

And Just discovered something about Krogoths I didnt knew: They can cause damage to units by steeping on them!

A krog dies to a single D-gun blast.
120 raiders do not.

120 raiders have over 200,000 HP
120 raiders have a DPS around 4000-5000?

krogoth is just concentrated into a small area. its still a noob option.

If your opponent can build 2 krogoths, you probably don't know how to d-gun anyway.

You forget that 120 raiders attacking the same spot cannot use all their potential at once, while a Krogoth can. I comproved this myseld by seeing 200 raiders loosing to a single Krogoth. If your enemy have defenses heavy enough and the space for your raiders to pass is tiny enough, they will all die before they are able to attack. But if you sent a Krogoth, things will be quite diferent :-) .

And thats the whole point of seending a few heavy units instead of a lot of light ones: if your enemys defense is strong enough, most of your units will die before having the chance to attack since they cant get to the spot all togheder, but the heavy units, that have the strengh of various light units even if its few strengh for their cost, will do it.

And good luck trying to get a commander near enough of a Krogoth to d-gun it :-)

lol. someone evidently hasnt discovered the purpose of the commanders ability to CLOAK. 1 com, cloaked + 1 radar jammer = 1 dead krog.
I musta D-gunned about 10 krogs in my time. its not difficult, and is why you dont send in a krog alone.

120 raiders maybe, but you can attack much earlier with 30 raiders while they are still maekin d-fens, you cant attack with a half made krog. krog = lol

I was talking about the high destructivenes of a Krogoth, not about the player seeing your com and shooting at it, I mean, the Krogoth causes so much destruction that he may kill your com even winhout seeing it :-) .

Its true, Im not saying you should attack with Krogoths only, just that they aparear to be the best option then your enemy got super heavy defenses.

No, things like tremors, merls, bombers etc are best when an enemy has heavy defences.

Or skill..
