they ruin me every time they're used against me.

how to find? how to kill? how? how? it really irritates me.

this is AA 2.23 I'm talking about

Scouting of the area, that motion sensor detection thing, and be on the offensive and stop porcing. Snipers are anti-procing units, they are meant to be effective against your static units. Plus, the snipers have very weak armour and have a slow reload time meaning a group of peewees could take them out.

right, just died again 'cos of snipers.

ok. well I had dragon's eyes up so I could see them as they were nailing me. I had a guardian up too so that sorta killed them in slow motion. they were amongst the enemy's static defenses so sending in anything wouldnt' have worked. when anything was sent in, they retreated.

I had HLTs WAY behind the dragon's eyes and their range was not long enough to touch the snipers. maybe the enemy had a scout but I don't know. (map was tangerine, I was defending bottom left path)

ok, well my solution: I'm playing arm from now on.

oh, and if anyone says 'don't porc': could someone point me to a nice non-porcing tangerine replay?

Yes, there are only a few ways, unless you have (more/higher XP) snipers yourself.
Spamming fleas/zippers/weasels.
Brawlers are good for killing them. EMP bombers, bombers.
Use a spy kbot to get close to them so you can see them.
EMP bomb their power plants if you can get close (may as well EMP bomb the snipers) but if you can't see them etc.
Scout planes will spot them, and they are unlikely to have AA with them, people don't usually give their position away.

Methinks somebody hasn't rushed in a long time. Should I have gone without LLT's or a factory Zell? That is most commonly referred to as suicide.

My favourite counters to Snipers are Zippers and Fighters/Gunships. However, mines, cloaked popup turrets, bombers and LRPCs can all handle them alone in a pinch. And mixing units only gives you more options.

Fleas & Rockos are a good cheap solution.

I said it was porcing, not that you had other options. There's other ways to rush than with a commander though.

Often it's suicide to go 100% offence if all your teammates are porcing. If your enemies have a bit of sense, they will all focus on you and you'll be dead in moments. After that, they will slowly mop up the porcers, and your teammates will blame you since you crumbled first.

That said, it' a lot less boring to live and die guns blazing than to last through an interminable slow-motion porc contest.

If your teammates refuse to play offensively, you might as well use their coms for combombs to aid your assault.
