EvOTA

News:
April 30: The new update contains the first two metal maps that were released last night. As you can see, the size of the package is snowballing rapidly, mostly due to the maps (actually mostlye due to Redfish). Now that the package has a fair amount of content, I want to space the releases out a bit, maybe once a week or so. If i'm releasing a new version every day, downloading it becomes more of a hassle than a convenience.
For the moment, i'd recommend you prefix games with EvOTA2 if you're playing the new maps.
I'm also going to attempt to start uploading versions to Fileuniverse.
April 29: Ok, there's alot of confusion in the battle rooms about who's running what mods, so myself (and to a certain extent Dwarden), at the urging of others have decided to establish a standard that i'm calling EvOTA, because it includes the Evolva models and the OTA patch.
The latest version of the zip file contains:
- OTA unit settings patch
- All Evolva unit models
- Gods of War (Redfish)
- Redhaven (zwzsg)
- Metal Heck 2 (Redfish)
- Crosspaths (Tangaroa)
The zip file will be updated as more maps, etc are released.
If you are hosting an EvOTA game, please prefix the game name with EvOTA.
Downloads:
Cumulative: EvOTAv2.zip (30,123 kb - April 30 2005)
Update (requires v1): EvOTAv1-2.zip (18,486 kb - April 30 2005)
Older versions:
EvOTAv1.zip (12 mb - April 29 2005)
Instructions
Extract the zip file into your Spring directory. It's as simple as that.
To play an OTA game without having the notification area flooded with "out of sync" errors, just rename the Objects3D directory in the Spring directory, and restore it when you're done.
