Common Causes of SYNC Error?

When starting a game with AA 2.23 in the latest lobby client my friends and I have been getting Sync Errors alot lately. This has happened infrequently in the past but has been a little more common of late. We all have decently powered machines and can connect and begin the game. It does happen more often with particular individuals connect.

What are common causes of this, is it all latency related?

Any suggestions as to what I can do to keep this from happening as much, or trouble shooting to locate the problem?

Will be fixed in the next version. Till now its best to avoid underwater units.

Interesting. I'll keep that in mind but we are getting sync errors before we have a chance to build sonar...

Is the newest version just more susceptible in general to sync errors or is that limited only to sonar?

I think the commander of AA has sonar too, so its almost impossible to avoid.
Maybe playing land-maps is better, the only "system" there seems to be is more lag -> more likely to de-sync.

Just having sonar doesn't matter; just don't use it (for, e.g., launching torpedos or depth charges).
