Help, severe problem! highjacking maps!

I have a major problem, after installing spring 0.73b1 and playing a map, that map "highjacks" my spring, and i can no longer host or join any other game, unless it is the map in question being used. The default maps also seem to work. i have reinstalled three times allready, and only if i reinstall in a new directory do i get the ability to choose a new "default map"

As i join games, i get ti the part where the map loads and i see the terrain, then it says "connecting to server\host 20-19-18 etc" and after a few sec i get booted back to the lobby. if i host, others have the same problem. unless i use the DEFAULT map, then everything works, regardless of mod...

Please help.

What? :-)

Mappacks don't work by the way ("maps" which contain more than one map) so get rid of them if you got any. No idea what you are on about otherwise.

I have a bunch of mappack, all it does is cause the lobby to go bonkers during startup. They don't cause any other issue than that. I have no idea what this guy's problem is. COmpletely new to me.

No map packs, actually, i get the "bug" even on a clean install, with only stock maps, the map i have tested is core prime remake and small supreme battlefield, mars and small divide, the first map i load up locks that spring install on that map, until i re-install...

guess it must be my comp at home, as i do not have this problem on the extra.pc at my mates place, there i only have the "delayed sync response from Ged something" after a few hours of play, we share the internet connection with a hub there.

the delayed sync error just makes sure we play against each others bases, with both sides winning in the end... as the delay becomes so bad that it seem to just stop the opposing side from doing anything...

Try deleting your pathing cache.

They are in .\maps\paths

Guess what, its the first thing i got told to do, i hoped that would help, but o no...

so now, the only place i can play is the "sync error" place... And i really love spring...

It sounds like your initialization text file (script.txt) isn't being changed for some reason.

Try this:

1) Copy script.txt somewhere into another folder
2) Delete the original script.txt in your Spring folder
3) Try playing a different map on multiplayer again

If that doesn't work, uninstall Spring (make sure registry entries are deleted) and then reinstall.

Also, you may try re setting the registry information like said in this help information:

re-setting registry does not help...

That must be the most weird bug i have ever seen in Spring...

removing initialization text file (script.txt) fixed my problems! i can now host and join games as normal, regardless of map!
