i like core because it looks cooler, has bigger guns, and the sheer joy of plowing through a base with a krog

Damn, I am equally efficient with both, but I guess I like Core more. I would guess thats because core has a lot of units that look good bloodstained.. I-I meaan Red.. Uhm, just red..

AA -> Core. Mainly because of laser spam.
XTA -> Arm. Generally like Arm more.

I play Arm in AA... just prefer the specific units.

Why is this in the mods forum? Anyone?

um yeah kinda i just posted this in the mods forum cause i wanted to know how many people like what side and what they like about the side for reasearch for a mod im working on

Generally I play core unless the majority are already playing core. I do that because if you're using units that aren't as common, you can probably exploit a weakness in your opponents' strategies.

I usually play core just because I don't like rushing or micromanagement very much. My unit micromanagement is alright, but I'm a lot better if I can sit back and build up a little bit of an economy. I don't like porcing, I just like to have at least +60 energy income, +5 metal income, and a few LLTs up before I start seriously thinking about scouting and attacks.

Not to say that arm is predetermined to be rushing and micromanagement heavy, just to say that Core can usually get by without too much (except with AKs). They are more about occupying and fortifying territory, while arm is more about having a rolling front line.

For instance, rather than building extractors and having some peewees on standby, core can just build an exploiter and be done with it, even if it means not expanding quite as fast. If you're Arm, you can have some peewees or flashes in a central location, a few radars scattered around, and react to threats rather than being proactive by building defense. This allows for faster expansion. Core just plants a flag and says, "you want it, come and take it, clone bitchezz"

I like Arm's specific units better. A lot of this is because several Arm units (Flash in particular) used to be overpowered, and so I played Arm because of those back then, and now I'm just more used to Arm than to Core.

Specifically, I like the sniper, Brawler, Bulldog (much more spammable than Goliath), Flash & Stumpy combo, and the fact that the commander does not look feminine.

Arm. I like to play as the good guys, unless the bad guys have gas masks.

Are the Arm really the good guys? I've thought about this long and hard before I realized what an incredible waste of time it was and voted GD, cause EE is great and has stompy, shooty tanks...and when I play AA, I go Arm.

I usually play the side the other player aint playing. For diversity.

I'm equally sucky at both sides. Still core I always cheer for the bad guys

Core, I used to play as ARM (this is back in OTA) cause they were the 'good' guys. But my brothers complained that they were op'd (not untrue back then) so I switched to Core.
Also generally I like to use tanks now, so I play GD on EE as well.

Depends which side is better on that map. Which curently is ARM in majority.
