Disable LOS

For AI testing I need the full map to be visible. The easiest way to implement this, I think, is to enlarge the LOS of each unit to stretch the entire map.

However, after increasing the ud.losRadius and ud.airLosRadius, I bumped into a cap on the radius that I cannot trace down (I cannot get it larger than about 1/4th of the SmallDivide map).

Anyone that can advice on how to disable / bypass the LOS system?

Make a patch for a LOS hack, we all need it anyways XD

You can set the LOS mip level in the sensors.tdf. The maximum range is 1280 at a miplevel of 1.

Krogothe and I use the AI cheat interface when our AIs are in cheat mode (also known as the KAI maphack sicne it cant be turned on or off in KAI). Its the same as the existing I interface but with no LOS checks so you'll get results and units even if they're out of LOS....

tbh I'm surprised krogothe forgot, guess he forgot more in his absence than he's letting on =p

This thread is about full LOS for player, not for AI i think, isn't it?

I agree that full LOS like in OTA would be very helpful for testing AIs, so you could see what stupid things your AI does and at the same time have fun playing with it.

Thats why i implemented those blob things in NTai 0.27, only I forgot to disable them when i released and everyone complained about seeing ominous floating blobs everywhere....
