Is there any way to practice with only 1 player?

Just me a map and the Commander.

Download the game. Read the thing that's called the README!

Sigh...

1. Run spring.exe
2. Click yes to "Do you want to be server?"
3. Select "commander 1000 res" script.
4. Select a map.
5. Voila.

If your game crashes while loading (with a black screen still), try turning off shadows. If your game crashes after you press enter to start, you likely have the suspected issue with the 6000 series video cards (see the help forum).

If the game does not spawn a commander what then?

(also are you supposed to copy the ta core .hpi files, right?!?)

If you downloaded the full version, it comes with the data files from XTA (another SY project), so you don't need to copy anything.

I'm not really sure what to tell you if it's not spawning a commander. I will tell you that it doesn't normally spawn the commander in the middle of your view. Check the minimap for it's position, or press ctrl-c.

Yes, NO Commanders at all. Indeed its a bizzare error.

Is there some interface to a console or debug output?

I want ot get to the bottom of this.

Im having the same problem and cannot get to the bottom of it and it bothers me I havent got to play yet...

Where IS the commander script...
or, better yet, how do you change sides?

The first player in the commander script seems to always be arm, I wanna try some Core!
