Host becomes separated from clients in game room

Ok, i've seen this happen in a number of game rooms with different hosts.

Sometimes, when you're in the game room, the host will be unable to communicate with the clients. All clients can chat with each other, and the host can see the clients' chat, but the clients do not recieve messages sent by the host.

When the host starts the game, the clients do not start.

It basically seems that the clients do not recieve any information from the host.

I can't really give you more information than that, as it doesn't crash per se. It kind of has to be experienced.

K-Man, you are saying if you are using nat and a linksys device
it wouldn't work? Is that what you are saying ..

I've played afew games ... an I have all my pcs using nat. I'm behind a
firewall with a 8 port switch. I have a standalone firwall solution.

Can you expand on this issue?

i host games fine with NAT ...

1. define external IP in File>Config
2. forward port You use for hosting server to internal IP

I've been trawling the forums to try and find the two ports associated with Spring, but I can't seem to find them any more, and I want to make sure that the two I have forwarded are right.

Obviously I can check the default one set when you host a game, but the one for the lobby...

Edit: Silly me, they got moved to a sticky right at the top of this forum!
