Halo TA?

I remember reading that Microsoft forced the makers of Halo TA to stop working on the mod due to copyright stuff...here's another reason, i guess they were have been intimidated by a 10 year old game engine :roll: :

It might just work... take a look at CNC Renegade, Westwood produced great RTS' (can be argue about) but fails at FPS. On the other hand, the XBOX rand(0,99999) is a big, steaming pile of... horse excrements. Anyone remember Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic on the PC and actually played the XBOX version? XBOX version is sluggish, slow and misses out all the good features the PC got. That's what you get when you sell your soul to Steve Balmer (or who ever plays boss over at MS). So that Halo RTS might just suck as well!

I used to own warzone 2100 for playstation, lost it though...

Herzog Zwei.

From what I've heard (yes, from people working at Ensemble) the game is a lot of fun, maybe this'll turn out right. No idea if it's really an RTS in the way we understand it.

Meh, I hope it's a good game.
Seriously I doubt I'll ever own a 360 but for all the people who's jobs rely on Halo:RTS (and too a lesser extent those who's jobs rely on 360 sales) I hope it's a really good game.

Personally I've never understood the Halo antipathy, sure it was going to be a PC game, but with no publisher and a good likelyhood of being a forever delayed (and eventually underwhealming) game.

honestly im just gonna wait for them to port it. U know they will. They ported Halo 1, they are porting Halo 2, and they will port this.

Uh, I can't find anything indicating there ever was a Halo TA. And at least not anything about Microsoft shutting them down.

And yes, Microsoft should be shutting down any free alternative to their game, no matter how bad.

Maybe the developers of this supposedly existing mod will learn their lesson and do something original next time.

Actually, this game would be playable on console as long as you enable keyboard / mouse support through usb.

Btw, how did Starcraft 64 play?
