Can you save in the middle of a game? and is there a single player that you dont have to sign into the internet to play?

For now save is not possible.

You can play versus bots, as far as I know there are no campaigns just yet, but the devs are working on it.

I remember seeing some guy on the forums working on a gundam mod cant wait for that release

It was being released, quite some time ago by Smoth (who's been driven off these forums).
