AA/ new units

Howdy, some people may have seen me online, some may have even played me in a game or two but now after a few weeks it's time to say a proper hello to the online community that makes Spring so good.
I was thinking about making a unit or two and showing them to the maker of AA.
Could anyone give me a few pointers for unit creation and ideas please.

Thanks, but i have already taken a look there. I just wanted to get some ideas on how to design my units...
I would like some idea on what to work with because i don't want to make a unit that:
1: is useless in multiplayer, other than a waste of time, metal, energy and being decoy/meat shield
2: it not some crappy copy of someone elses unit.
For example i just a idea. It would be for a tech-2 k-bot that is a AA-unit, but also able to defend itself from ground attacks (to an extent).
It could be useful because there is no ture Anti-air k-bot for tech 2

If you use gpl or some other "free" textures, I think people then more likely would like to use your unit.

oh i got an idea for units that AA needs...
Lvl 2 Hovers. Its nice cause their scripts/FBI's don't have to be that complicated (but can be) and they would add a lot to the mod.

Hehe, how about we make some hover monsters for level 3 instead?
I mean Hover is tech 1.5, so then it could go to tech 3..

Caydr has been trimming units from AA left and right, so unless you're making the anti-air units, I doubt he'll be receptive to more stuff.

Scrap the hover idea MAKE LVL 2 ANTI-AIR KBOTS NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
such a pain in the @$$ when i go kbots that i don't have acess to good mobile anti-air... grumble... grumble

actually I think Cadyr might be looking for models for his AA kbots - it's probably worth askin him if you want to make some...

Making them's not an issue, I can remake the ones I did before the hard drive crash. Texturing's not an issue either. Scripting's not an issue. The issue is... ....
Yeah... I guess I should probably just make them...

I'm on hoildays! While passing the time chilling at my hotel room, i have been coming up with a load of idea's for units and such. Many of which are very usful.
My first idea is a K-bot called centurion.
It's a tech 2 k-bot that can handle any threat with 2 defender aa-missile packs, a advance hvy laser and a short range arty cannon. It also has above average health.
Such a powerful unit comes with weaknesses so here are a few.
1-It has below average movement speed.
2-It's costly (build time wise)
3-It can't preform as well as a dedicated unit for a task. eg:mavericks, bulldogs.
What do ya think? i'm going to draw up some skeches as well so when they are done, i will post them here.
I also got another unit to add.
It's called a "Roper". It's a hovercraft mine layer that can not only place the normal ground mines but also sea mines like charges to take out subs and such.
I got more coming so if i can get to a computer, i will share more of my ideas.
