Spring RTS Engine

k, can someone help me using lameness terms? i gotz poor comp skillz. lobby port i shoudln't care about. and... it doesn't matter what port i use to host? i keep getting the problem error connecting to ip or something like that why i try and join a game. also when people try to join a game i hosted, they can't connect, as in they have the connecting to server countdown and it just runs out... help please.

Clients must connect to the same port a server is listening to.

But why would you want to change the port number?

If you're behind a firewall, it may be blocking that port.
