How about some Kind of Master of Orion, with every Planet beeing a diffrent SpringMap and diffrent Mod, and the Players fighting in diffrent Teams for the greater Cause of the TacticMap.

This would force those taking Part into dl (the selected Maps for the Planets) and the Mods (for the Mod in which is fought on the Planet)
So if you take part and conquere the Universe (or at least die trying) you will have a nice fullstaffed TA Spring afterwards. And the Fun to Battel not just for one Victory, but for the Noble Cause of..... more Victorys..

You had planets and the entire galaxy was split betwene arm and core at start.

Then players would fight eachother allied as core or arm in order to conquer the galaxy. Each planet as represented by a map.

It wouldn Have to be a 3D Galaxy, just a 2D Addition for the LobbyClient would do. That way we could develop a Must-have of Maps and Mods....

Different mods on different planets?

Yeah - well every "Planet" has a Map - and a fixed setted MOD which you must have to fight for the Planet. So for example there could be a Asteroid Belt around a GasGiant, to fight in FF - other Planets contain other Map(and Mod) - i think it would be fun to see all those Mod-Experts, in the Heat to Conquer more Planets, suddenly steping into a "foreign" Mod.

"Hey, this Guy is not the Usual Comander - oh what is this - Unit - a Sheep - hell were have we landed - BUGS-BUGS - oh no, SHEEPS SHEEPS... THOUSAND OF SHEEPS TILL THE HORIZON

This could actually be a useful tool to stimulate playing of other mods!

"Trans dimensional boneyards" or somesuch - certain planets must be played on XYZ mod, other planets or systems must be played on XYZ mod, etc etc.

How to avoid that in the Teams always the Mod-Lovers play those Planets they love the Most? It should have something limitating Travelling around in the Galaxy - or the Newbs will always go for the "simple" to conquer AA Planets - while some NB and EE Planets would become the Strongholds, only besieged by the Comunity Veterans.

Perhaps require every held planet to have a path to the faction home planet so a faction would need players capable of dealing with every mod the supply chain may involve. Maybe have e.g. a wall of Nanoblobz planets and another wall of E&E planets, ...

Not all mods span entire galaxy's, maybe it would be better if they each had their own meta map to make it more customisable?

That is indee a good Sollution. But what if inside the Faction there is just again, one Gundam specialist, one EE master, one NB Shephard - and they just never try Planets who don`t use there Mod? Give the Planets Defender more StartMetall and StartEnergy, the longer he must wait for the Attack ?

The mod could be different each day for each planet, and the map could be a randomly chosen appropriate map to that planet.

Like, today if you pick mars, it'll be AA, but tomorrow it might be XTA or FF. Then, once you pick the planet, it'll be a mars-style map. So XantheTerra or mars or whatever. But it'll be random, so you won't know exactly which map, just which mod.

Also, certain maps could only show up for certain mods. So that FF happens in space and mods without ships don't have to work in the oceans. And such.

BTW, how would this work with different mods, anyway? Starwars doesn't have ARM and CORE, nor does FF? Should Core == The Empire? And what to do about TLL?

Make a backstory about <foo> & <foo>

Basicly a random events effect a planet & result == different mod for the battle.

And use space mods, space fights for certain space platforms, that allow u to attack deeper into enemy space

You mean Jump Gates to fight for in FF?

I think splitting factions is a bad idea. That'd create problems once E&E's NI faction is online.
