To new readers: Imagine a world were human kind shares the planet with werewolves, vampires and other forms of undead. Now imagine, around the fifties and sixties, that the werewolves and vampires managed to get them selves legal recognition as citizens of the United States, under the Equal Rights for Undead Act.

The Smith family is a product of its times. Ginger, the youngest sibling, is still recovering from her recent run in with non-other then the infamous Count Dracula (Long presumed dead) and his offspring and underlings. It left her turned into a vampire and seeking a way to finally kill the most evil Vampire in human history. This search has brought her to Cuba.

Steven Smith, the middle sibling, has just come back from a long (And mostly pointless) road trip. Now he is trying to relax on vacation with his new found fortune (Lots of back pay, see) by visiting the best island resort on the East Coast. Cuba. Unfortunately it seems that the hotel he is living in is haunted.

Joshua Smith, the eldest sibling, is having just as many problems as his other siblings. First he got swept off his feet by an attractive and...forward werewolf named Sally. Then he married her, knocked her up, and had four kids. Now he is going on vacation as best he could, to the best vacation spot off the south cost, Cuba. Unfortunately a unidentified vampire organization has decided to take him out of the picture. So its up to Sally and his four hyperactive three month old cubs to save him.

Rated: Mature. Some light swearing, violence, and lots of sexual innuendo and some 'hot' scenes with married couples. Terrorist acts (It is PRE-revolution Cuba, after all. Not very pre, though) and lots of gun play later.

The woman was certainly a looker. She wore sunglasses, despite the time of night. She wore a pearly white shirt that buttoned up one side. Her black hair was pulled back with a Chinese chopstick jammed through the back to keep it in a bun. She walked to the front desk of the hotel and said ├óÔé¼┼ôI'm looking for Mr. Chavez's room├óÔé¼┬Ø. The clerk blinked. Chavez had requested that no one would see him. ├óÔé¼┼ôI'm sorry├óÔé¼┬Ø he said ├óÔé¼┼ôBut Mr. Chavez has requested that he...├óÔé¼┬Ø. The woman had taken off her sunglasses. She looked at him, her red eyes boring into his eyes. ├óÔé¼┼ôMr. Chavez is waiting for me├óÔé¼┬Ø she said ├óÔé¼┼ôWhere is his room├óÔé¼┬Ø. The clerk gulped, not wanting to look away form those eyes ├óÔé¼┼ôninety three├óÔé¼┬Ø he said ├óÔé¼┼ôFloor twenty├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôThank you├óÔé¼┬Ø The woman slid her glasses back on and walked around the desk to the elevator.

The clerk blinked, not sure what to make of the woman. She was a vampire, obviously. What she wanted with Mr. Chavez was a mystery. The clerk looked back up and saw that a man and a woman, along with four of their dogs, were walking to the front desk. ├óÔé¼┼ôCan I help you?├óÔé¼┬Ø He asked. The man smiled and said ├óÔé¼┼ôYeah, we have reservations├óÔé¼┬Ø. The clerk suppressed a sigh of discontent. The man screamed tourist. His shirt was tacky and Hawain. A camera dangled around his neck and he wore a waist pack. Tourist. ├óÔé¼┼ôName?├óÔé¼┬Ø the clerk asked. The woman leaned in, smiling toothily ├óÔé¼┼ôSmith├óÔé¼┬Ø she said. The clerk was jolted when he saw the furry ears and sharp canines. She was a werewolf. He looked at the man. He was not a werewolf. That was strange in the extreme. But they were paying customers.

The father looked down, pain flashing across his face. ├óÔé¼┼ôOppse├óÔé¼┬Ø He said ├óÔé¼┼ôLittle Danny's gotten a bit excited├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôI'll handle him├óÔé¼┬Ø The woman said, leaning over and yanking the wolf cub of the man's leg. Little Danny looked more like a ball of fluff then a kid, four limbs shoving out into the air. They were clawed. The clerk forced a smile to his lips ├óÔé¼┼ôWhat a...nice boy├óÔé¼┬Ø he said, leaning in to look at Danny. Danny snapped his teeth at him. The clerk jerked back ├óÔé¼┼ôUh!├óÔé¼┬Ø he exclaimed. ├óÔé¼┼ôDanny! Bad!├óÔé¼┬Ø The woman said, cuffing the cub on the back of the head. There was yipping from below ├óÔé¼┼ôSorry├óÔé¼┬Ø she said ├óÔé¼┼ôKids can be such a burden├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôKids├óÔé¼┬Ø The clerk gasped.

├óÔé¼┼ôCan we just have our room?├óÔé¼┬Ø the man asked. ├óÔé¼┼ôRight├óÔé¼┬Ø The clerk said ├óÔé¼┼ôSmith, Joshua...here├óÔé¼┬Ø he handed him a key ├óÔé¼┼ôEnjoy you stay├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôThanks├óÔé¼┬Ø Mr. Smith took the key, and he and his odd ball family walked around the desk and into the elevators. The clerk sighed, glad that the trouble was finally over. Then the front doors burst open and a man walked in, a woman clinging to his side. He screamed money, as his hat was very fine, his suit was very fine. He still looked like a cowboy thought. Must be an American. ├óÔé¼┼ôHello!├óÔé¼┬Ø He said, walking to the front desk ├óÔé¼┼ôI have a reservation├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôThats right├óÔé¼┬Ø the clerk said ├óÔé¼┼ôName?├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôSmith├óÔé¼┬Ø the woman said, smiling. It was a less toothy smile then the last woman who had said that name. The clerk, however, felt a strong sense of deja vu, and handed them the key ├óÔé¼┼ôSteven Smith?├óÔé¼┬Ø he asked. ├óÔé¼┼ôGot it in one├óÔé¼┬Ø the man said. The clerk nodded at him as he walked around the front desk and into the elevator.

Mr. Chavez heard the door open. He, knowing that no one was supposed to be entering his rooms other then himself and two fine young vixens, who were currently splayed over his bed, mostly naked, turned around and pulled his shotgun out. The woman who was entering his room was perpaird and dived to the side before the incendiary rounds slammed into her. The door burst into flames, the rounds eating into it as merrily they would a human. The woman landed behind the bed, where the two fine young women were standing up, screaming. ├óÔé¼┼ôBitches leave!├óÔé¼┬Ø Mr. Chavez shouted. The two scantily clad women ran out of the place, through the mostly disintegrated door. The woman stood up and flicked a furry bra that had landed on her shoulder off.

├óÔé¼┼ôAh├óÔé¼┬Ø Mr. Chavez said ├óÔé¼┼ôMiss Smith├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôI thought that you would have a slightly more open door policy├óÔé¼┬Ø Ms. Smith said, looking at him. Chavez grinned ├óÔé¼┼ôAnything I can do for you?├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôYou could explain something to me├óÔé¼┬Ø Ms. Smith said. Chavez's smile faltered slightly at her glaze ├óÔé¼┼ôYeah?├óÔé¼┬Ø he said, slowly edging to the window. A ten story drop into a pool of water was slightly better then being locked in a room with an angry vampire. ├óÔé¼┼ôCould you tell me why you decided to send a hit squad after me, rather then give me the item├óÔé¼┬Ø Ms Smith said. ├óÔé¼┼ôWell├óÔé¼┬Ø Chavez said ├óÔé¼┼ôI...err├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôYou really have no idea what you're dealing with├óÔé¼┬Ø Ms. Smith said softly. ├óÔé¼┼ôI know that no matter how strong a vampire is├óÔé¼┬Ø Chavez said ├óÔé¼┼ôYou can't stand FIRE!├óÔé¼┬Ø. He fired his shot gun. The incendiary rounds went right through Ms. Smith and smashed into the wall behind her.

Ms. Smith turned around and looked at the happily smoldering wall. Chavez gaped. ├óÔé¼┼ôMy turn├óÔé¼┬Ø Ms. Smith grinned, her fangs clearly visible. ├óÔé¼┼ôW...What's going on?├óÔé¼┬Ø Chavez backed up a step, almost tripping over a chair. The walls around him were slowly faded away, slowly changing from the normal colors to blood red. ├óÔé¼┼ôWhats happening!├óÔé¼┬Ø Chavez shouted, his eyes bugging. The woman, who no longer looked like a woman, slowly burred, her form becoming a black silhouette. ├óÔé¼┼ôYou're about to find out├óÔé¼┬Ø the woman's voice was suddenly deeper, more monstrous. Chavez screamed, turning around. Then the blackness was upon him.

Josh sighed, walking into his room. Below his feet his four kids ran in, looking all the world like dogs. Sally pushed past him, yelling at her kids. Josh let her handle it, walking straight to the bed. He plopped down and enjoyed the sensation of laying down after standing for quite a while. Their luggage he taken far too long to arrive, and the plane had been crowded. They had to keep the kids in a cardboard box to keep them from running amok, and even so it was painful. He rubbed his temples as they ran about the room, barking and yapping. One, Harry he thought, started to claw his leg. ├óÔé¼┼ôBad! Larry bad!├óÔé¼┬Ø Sally fussed at him, dragging him off. Huh.

The stewardess opened the door, expecting Mr. Chavez to be either in the midst of some sexual act or another, or to be sleeping. What she found seemed to be both. Chavez was smashed against his pillows, snoring loudly. A strange woman was holding her hand out, her other hand pressed against her temples, a expression of concentration on her face. She blinked and looked at the dumpy woman that had walked in. The strange woman was a vampire, that much was obvious. Mr. Chavez's eyes snapped open and he sat up. Then he screamed and dived for the window. He crashed out of it and fell, screaming all the way, till he smashed into the pool below them.

├óÔé¼┼ôYou're not getting away that easy├óÔé¼┬Ø Ginger muttered, jumping out of the window, her knees pulled up to her chest. She fell, feeling the wind whipping through her hair. Then she landed, legs buckling slightly. She had aimed for the concrete, glad that she didn't get her nice suit wet. The other people around the pool were staring at her. ├óÔé¼┼ôSorry├óÔé¼┬Ø she said, looking into the pool. Mr. Chavez had landed and was still alive, though at that hight the water would have hurt like hell. Also it seemed one of his legs was broken, twisted at the wrong angle at the kneecap. ├óÔé¼┼ôI might need to get him to a hospital├óÔé¼┬Ø Ginger murmured. She might have to get her suit wet after all.

├óÔé¼┼ôAre you sure this is a good idea?├óÔé¼┬Ø The vampire asked. The werewolf shushed him, looking down her scope. ├óÔé¼┼ôDon't sass me├óÔé¼┬Ø The vampire said, grinning despite himself. He loved it when she got to work like this. It made him want to just. ├óÔé¼┼ôI need to concentrate├óÔé¼┬Ø The werewolf said, her tail twitching in the open air ├óÔé¼┼ôBut thanks├óÔé¼┬Ø. The vampire grinned, leaning over her shoulder as his hand scratched behind her ear ├óÔé¼┼ôAre you sure a card wouldn't have been better?├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôThis is better then that damn card J picked out├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôYou know he hates it when you call him that├óÔé¼┬Ø The vampire grinned. ├óÔé¼┼ôPfft├óÔé¼┬Ø the werewolf said, adjusting her scope.

├óÔé¼┼ôI'm still not sure about this├óÔé¼┬Ø the vampire said. ├óÔé¼┼ôThis is a fifty-caliber antitank sniper rifle├óÔé¼┬Ø the werewolf said, her voice dropping a pith ├óÔé¼┼ôNo matter how strong her vectors are, she'll never be able to deflect this!├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôHuh?├óÔé¼┬Ø The vampire said. That had gone right over his head. ├óÔé¼┼ôI told you to read the damn thing├óÔé¼┬Ø the werewolf said, looking away from her scope. ├óÔé¼┼ôI can't read backwards├óÔé¼┬Ø the vampire muttered. ├óÔé¼┼ôIts not backwards├óÔé¼┬Ø the werewolf said ├óÔé¼┼ôIts just different├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôI still can't read it├óÔé¼┬Ø The vampire said. ├óÔé¼┼ôDon't worry├óÔé¼┬Ø the werewolf said ├óÔé¼┼ôthis is a great way of saying happy birth day├óÔé¼┬Ø. She went back to her sniper rifle.

Steve drank his cup down in a single long slurp. This was the best room, he decided. It came with its own bar. Sandra lay in bed, reading her latest novel. ├óÔé¼┼ôHow's the book hon?├óÔé¼┬Ø he asked. ├óÔé¼┼ôIts fine├óÔé¼┬Ø Sandra said sleepily ├óÔé¼┼ôI think I'm enjoying it as much as you are your bar├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôGood book├óÔé¼┬Ø Steve said, pouring a new cup. Then the bottle exploded in his hands, sending glass flying every where. He snapped his head to the window, where a hole had been punched through, sending cracks flying. ├óÔé¼┼ôWhat happened!├óÔé¼┬Ø Sandra sat up. ├óÔé¼┼ôGet down!├óÔé¼┬Ø Steve said, running for her.

├óÔé¼┼ôShit├óÔé¼┬Ø The werewolf muttered ├óÔé¼┼ôScopes misaligned. See what happens when you distrait me!├óÔé¼┬Ø. The vampire raised his hands in mock surrender. The werewolf went back to her sniper rifle, tapping the scope. She fired again, the rifle coughing loudly despite the silencer. Steve heard the second bullet hit the window. The window shattered, and the bullet twanged off a lock on the celling. The lock exploded, flying apart. Then a huge poster dropped form the celling. It read: ├óÔé¼┼ôHAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVE!├óÔé¼┬Ø. Steve sat there, staring at the thing.

├óÔé¼┼ôLets go!├óÔé¼┬Ø the werewolf said. She and the vampire ran to the pole they had climbed up to get into the abandoned building. They both slid down and ran across the street. A car screeched to a halt and people screamed. The werewolf wondered about that, but then she kicked the door of the hotel in. She and her vampire boyfriend ran into the lobby. Everyone screamed and dived for cover. ├óÔé¼┼ôWhat?├óÔé¼┬Ø The woman asked, looking around. ├óÔé¼┼ôVIVA LA REVOLUCION !├óÔé¼┬Ø A shout went out and three men in ragged uniforms ran around, past the werewolf and vampire. They fired their guns into the air. The werewolf pulled out her pistol and fired three bullets into the three men, hitting them each in the left kneecap. She fired an extra three rounds into their right kneecaps.

The revolutionaries moaned, feeling their legs. The werewolf and vampire kicked their guns away from them. ├óÔé¼┼ôHey├óÔé¼┬Ø The vampire said ├óÔé¼┼ôCall 911, or whatever you Cubans use├óÔé¼┬Ø. The clerk, who was still in a state of shock, picked up the phone. He dialed the number and said, in haltering Spanish, ├óÔé¼┼ôWe need some police and ambulances down here. There has been a shooting├óÔé¼┬Ø. The werewolf and Vampire walked past him and into the elevator. ├óÔé¼┼ôNo problem├óÔé¼┬Ø the werewolf said, snapping off a salute to the clerk. The clerk made a sound halfway between a laugh and a sob, looking at the moaning revolutionaries on the floor. What next?

Steve had gotten up and was staring at the poster. ├óÔé¼┼ôIs this supposed to be a joke?├óÔé¼┬Ø Sandra asked ├óÔé¼┼ôFirst they shoot at us, then they├óÔé¼┬Ø. Someone tried the door. Sandra yelped, ducking down again. Steve grabbed a chair, ready to defend his wife. Then the lock exploded inwards, a bullet shooting it out. Then the last people he expected walked into the room. May and Jess. ├óÔé¼┼ôMay?├óÔé¼┬Ø Steve asked ├óÔé¼┼ôJess!├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôHappy birthday!├óÔé¼┬Ø May said, running up and hugging him. Sandra gaped at them. ├óÔé¼┼ôMam├óÔé¼┬Ø Jess said sheepishly, tipping his head to her. ├óÔé¼┼ôMay├óÔé¼┬Ø Steve said ├óÔé¼┼ôThis has got to be one of the wo...best birthday cards I've ever gotten├óÔé¼┬Ø. May beamed ├óÔé¼┼ôIs it all right if we crash here. We have no money, see├óÔé¼┬Ø.

Josh walked into the lobby, walking out of the elevator. He wanted to complain about the broken ice maker that was in his room. Then he saw the bleeding, moaning revolutionaries on the floor, their guns gathered up by some police officers. An ambulance sat outside, and medics were running into the lobby. Josh stepped back into the elevator. He didn't really need ice all that much, now that he thought about it. He road the elevator back up to his room. The door opened and he saw that the door down the hall was open, the lock shot out. He heard Steve saying something about presents. Josh wanted to go back down to the lobby, but that didn't quite seem to be an option at that point.

He walked into his room. Sally was sitting on the bed, holding a pistol out and aiming it at the door. ├óÔé¼┼ôSally!├óÔé¼┬Ø Josh said ├óÔé¼┼ôWhat's happened!├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôGun shots, explosions, shouts├óÔé¼┬Ø Sally said ├óÔé¼┼ôI was just being cautious├óÔé¼┬Ø. Josh sighed ├óÔé¼┼ôI don't think it has anything to do with us. Lets just stay here for the night├óÔé¼┬Ø. One of his kids latched onto his leg, begging for attention. ├óÔé¼┼ôCan we get them in human form for the night?├óÔé¼┬Ø he asked. ├óÔé¼┼ôWe only have so much wolfsbane├óÔé¼┬Ø Sally said. ├óÔé¼┼ôI know├óÔé¼┬Ø Josh said ├óÔé¼┼ôHow long till they can control it?├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôHalf a year├óÔé¼┬Ø Sally said glumly. Josh almost collapsed to his knees at that point.

Ginger walked into her rooms. They were actually lower then the elevators last point. She had to use stairs. She got to her coffin and opened it. Then she stepped back into it and closed the door. She closed her eyes. ├óÔé¼┼ôYou didn't quite handle that the way I expected├óÔé¼┬Ø Tim's voice echoed through her mind. She sighed ├óÔé¼┼ôI'm sorry Tim├óÔé¼┬Ø she said softly. A tear trickled down her nose. ├óÔé¼┼ôI'm crying again├óÔé¼┬Ø she said, feeling sadness well up again ├óÔé¼┼ôI suppose the excitement...├óÔé¼┬Ø she trailed off. Tim sighed in her mind. She felt a ghostly hand on her shoulder. ├óÔé¼┼ôIf I could├óÔé¼┬Ø he said ├óÔé¼┼ôI would trade myself for him├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôI would never want that├óÔé¼┬Ø Ginger said ├óÔé¼┼ôI just wish I could have you both├óÔé¼┬Ø.

Sally crawled under the covers with Josh. Josh sighed contentedly. The kids were asleep. At least they slept when they were tired, and after trashing the furniture as best as they could, they were tired. Sally and he had the night to themselves. Josh gently ran his hand down her back, pausing where her tail sprouted out of her otherwise human back. It had taken a bit of getting used to having someone who could change shape to a wolf, who compared moonlight to a shot of adrenaline and needed to take a chemical so she didn't rampage every full moon. He scratched her behind her ears, his fingers rubbing where her furry, wolf ears met her head.

Sally groaned ├óÔé¼┼ôRight there├óÔé¼┬Ø She muttered, a grin plastering itself over her head. She loved it, absolutely loved it when he scratched right there. He was told that all werewolf's loved it, and it was considered the start of the mating ritual. Sally's upper leg ran over his side as she slowly moved on top. Josh looked at her ├óÔé¼┼ôThe kids?├óÔé¼┬Ø he asked. Sally looked at the sleeping cubs, who were safe in their cardboard box. ├óÔé¼┼ôThey won't mind├óÔé¼┬Ø she said mischievously ├óÔé¼┼ôand I'll bit down on the pillow├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôJust so long as you don't miss and hit my shoulder├óÔé¼┬Ø Josh murmured. She sometimes did that, but afterwards she seemed so happy that Josh didn't have the heart to complain. Sally was...different that way.

Steve looked at May and Jess, who were laying together on the sofa. He shrugged. Sometimes he thought seeing his brother with a werewolf was strange enough. Seeing a vampire with a werewolf boggled his imagination. Jess untangled himself from May, who was asleep. ├óÔé¼┼ôI need to get to the coffins├óÔé¼┬Ø He said softly. ├óÔé¼┼ôAre you two...together?├óÔé¼┬Ø Steve asked, just wanting to be sure. ├óÔé¼┼ôYeah├óÔé¼┬Ø Jess said ├óÔé¼┼ôShe's a great lady├óÔé¼┬Ø. He looked at May, his red eyes soft ├óÔé¼┼ôNo idea how I ended up with her├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôYeah├óÔé¼┬Ø Steve said ├óÔé¼┼ôI feel the same way about Sandra├óÔé¼┬Ø. Sandra snored loudly at that moment, rolling over in her sleep.

├óÔé¼┼ôRight├óÔé¼┬Ø Jess said ├óÔé¼┼ôMake sure May dosn't try to wake me. She's done that a few times and I always snap. She says that as long as I'm out of the sun it doesn't matter how late I stay up. I keep telling her we need sleep too├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôRight, right├óÔé¼┬Ø Steve yawned ├óÔé¼┼ôIts it already almost dawn?├óÔé¼┬Ø he asked ├óÔé¼┼ôIts later the I thought├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôMust be the excitement├óÔé¼┬Ø Jess said, walking out of the room. Steve stood there for a moment, looking out over the city. Cuba was supposed to be a paradise. But he heard ugly rumors about the revolution movement. He hoped it would blow over like the newscasters said it would. Then he turned to go to bed.

Then he heard something. Steve spun. He saw the door close, as if it had been open. He ran to the door and yanked it open. He saw a figure dart around the corner at the end of a long, long hall. Steve blinked. He wasn't sure...but it looked like a child, a little boy or girl. He took a single step into the hallway. He looked left, down an endless amount of rooms. Then he looked right into a wall. He chided himself in being silly. What was there to be worried about in a hotel? He took another step down the corridor that the child had gone down. Then, inexplicably, he was frozen to the spot. Every fiber of his body dreaded taking the next step.

Steve stepped backwards, into his room. The feeling went, thought he immediately wanted to slam the door shut. He did close it and felt an immense feeling of safety clamp down. But the lock was blown out, so he knew someone could just push the door open. In the end he moved a table in front of the door. A bit drastic, but it would work. He went to bed, feeling as if something very important had happened. He just wasn't sure what.

The next morning and Josh was woken up by Harry crawling on his face. He reached up and pulled the fluff ball of his face. Harry yipped playfully. Josh slowly rotated his head to the right. Sally was still asleep, but Larry was having fun crawling up and over her shoulder. He rotated his head to the left and tried to make out the red letters on the clock. It was four in the morning. Josh looked back to Harry, who he still held by the scruff of the neck. Harry yipped again. ├óÔé¼┼ôYou kids are going to kill me├óÔé¼┬Ø he said, setting Harry down on his chest. Harry started to run around the bed with his brother. Sally murmured, rolling onto her back. Then she opened her eyes and saw Larry looking at her with an intent expression that could only mean one thing. Food. ├óÔé¼┼ôRight├óÔé¼┬Ø she said ├óÔé¼┼ôRight├óÔé¼┬Ø.

Sally rolled over and fell out of bed with a thump. Larry buried himself in the warm hollow that she left behind in the bed. ├óÔé¼┼ôJosh├óÔé¼┬Ø Sally said, groping around and finding her clothes. Josh grunted. ├óÔé¼┼ôJosh!├óÔé¼┬Ø Sally said louder. ├óÔé¼┼ôWhat?├óÔé¼┬Ø Josh asked, opening his eyes again. ├óÔé¼┼ôCan you get the milk?├óÔé¼┬Ø Sally asked. Josh got out of bed, pulling on his boxers. He walked over the refrigerator and pulled the milk out. He poured it in a bowl and set he bowl on the ground. The he whistled and patted his leg. Harry, Larry, Jerry and Kerri all bounced to attention, looking at him. Then they ran straight for the bowl and started lapping the milk up. Sally grinned at the sight, pulling her shirt on. Josh, realizing that their milk was nearly out, said ├óÔé¼┼ôI think I'm going to see if room service is up this early.

He walked to the bed and fell face forward. Sally awwed ├óÔé¼┼ôAre you tired?├óÔé¼┬Ø she asked. Josh grunted. ├óÔé¼┼ôWell├óÔé¼┬Ø Sally said ├óÔé¼┼ôLets see what I can do about that├óÔé¼┬Ø. She placed her hands on Josh's shoulders. Josh groaned again as she started to massage him. Then Harry, done with his milk, jumped on the bed and started to run all over his fathers back. Josh graoned again. ├óÔé¼┼ôOh Harry├óÔé¼┬Ø Sally picked her son up and placed him next to Josh. Harry stayed put for a second. Then he ran back onto his father. Larry and Jerry joined them. Kerri, who seemed more interested in polishing of the milk, stayed behind. ├óÔé¼┼ôWere you this bad with you're parents├óÔé¼┬Ø Josh asked. ├óÔé¼┼ôThey said I was worse├óÔé¼┬Ø Sally said ├óÔé¼┼ôI kept trying to get into Daddy's guns├óÔé¼┬Ø.

Steve cautiously cracked the door open. There was nothing immediately shooting at him, so he decided it was safe to remove the chair. He did so, closing the door behind him. ├óÔé¼┼ôSomething wrong?├óÔé¼┬Ø Sandra asked, looking at him ├óÔé¼┼ôOh I'm fine├óÔé¼┬Ø Steve said ├óÔé¼┼ôJust making sure we don't get anyone trying to get into our rooms├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôOh├óÔé¼┬Ø Sandra said ├óÔé¼┼ôSo do you want to join me in bed├óÔé¼┬Ø. Steve looked at her. She was draped under the covers, smiling seductively at him. ├óÔé¼┼ôFirst├óÔé¼┬Ø Steve said, walking to the couch and grabbed the back of May's shirt. He yanked her up and off Jess. ├óÔé¼┼ôGet├óÔé¼┬Ø he said, grabbing Jess and hauling him to his feet ├óÔé¼┼ôOut├óÔé¼┬Ø he walked them to the door ├óÔé¼┼ôMy room!├óÔé¼┬Ø. He shoved them into the hall and slammed the door behind him. May brushed her shirt off ├óÔé¼┼ôGrumpy guss├óÔé¼┬Ø Jess said. ├óÔé¼┼ôHe hasn't had his sex├óÔé¼┬Ø May said, nodding knowingly.

Steve replaced the chair, making sure it was firmly placed against the blown out lock. Then he turned around ├óÔé¼┼ôLets start├óÔé¼┬Ø he said, walking to Sandra's side. She smiled at him as he got to the side of the bed ├óÔé¼┼ôSo what kept you last night?├óÔé¼┬Ø she asked. ├óÔé¼┼ôHuh?├óÔé¼┬Ø Steve said, pulling his shirt off. ├óÔé¼┼ôWell├óÔé¼┬Ø Sandra said ├óÔé¼┼ôIt looked like you had seen a ghost├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôWell├óÔé¼┬Ø Steve said, not sure whether to be worried or not, ├óÔé¼┼ôMaybe I did├óÔé¼┬Ø. Sandra laughed. Steve turned around to put his shirt on the bar. Then he caught his reflection in the mirror behind the assorted bottles and alcoholic beverages. It looked quite dead, rotting flesh handing off it. Steve jerked back, falling into the bed. Sandra looked at him ├óÔé¼┼ôAre you all right?├óÔé¼┬Ø she purred, thinking he was playing. Steve jerked his head up, looking at the mirror. His face, quite normal and alive, looked back. ├óÔé¼┼ôFine├óÔé¼┬Ø he said, before Sandra kissed him.

A few hours later and room service knocked. ├óÔé¼┼ôSenior?├óÔé¼┬Ø the lady who was pushing the cart said, a heavy Spanish accent draped over her words ├óÔé¼┼ôIs you lock okay?├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôOh├óÔé¼┬Ø Steve said as Sandra pulled the blankets over her bear (not to mention sweaty) chest ├óÔé¼┼ôNo, its not├óÔé¼┬Ø he said ├óÔé¼┼ôIts broken, can you have someone see to that?├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôSi├óÔé¼┬Ø The woman said ├óÔé¼┼ôI mean...yes, yes├óÔé¼┬Ø she bowed out of the room sheepishly. Steve blinked after her, then looked at Sandra. Then they started again.

Josh watched his kids in the pool. It was a terrifying ordeal to take them pretty much anywhere, but Sally kept saying they would keep close to their parents. They know their smell, apparently. Also they were very loud, especially if picked up by anyone who didn't smell right. So Josh just had to make sure they didn't drown, even in the small 'kiddy pool'. The three other children watched his kids with fascination writ large over their faces. Then their parents showed up. ├óÔé¼┼ôGet you dogs out of our pool├óÔé¼┬Ø one of them said. ├óÔé¼┼ôThose are my children├óÔé¼┬Ø Josh said, resigned to having to drag Sally all the way out here to prove she was a werewolf. ├óÔé¼┼ôYour children?├óÔé¼┬Ø one of the woman said, eyes bugging ├óÔé¼┼ôThey are filthy, flea ridden mongerales is what!├óÔé¼┬Ø. Josh stood up, feeling real anger rising. ├óÔé¼┼ôOh hey Josh├óÔé¼┬Ø Sally said, walking up on cue ├óÔé¼┼ôis my husband causing problems for you?├óÔé¼┬Ø.

Half the woman in the small group gasped and took visible steps back, seeing Sally's ears. The wordy one opened her mouth. Then closed it. Then opened it again. ├óÔé¼┼ôAre these you're kids?├óÔé¼┬Ø the quite one asked. She was the only one who hadn't made a move. ├óÔé¼┼ôYeah├óÔé¼┬Ø Ginger said ├óÔé¼┼ôBeautiful, aren't they?├óÔé¼┬Ø. Harry and Larry were swimming in circles. Kerri had decided to just float. Jerry was having a good time just standing in the shallow end. Not that any part of the pool didn't qualify as the 'shallow' end. ├óÔé¼┼ôQuite├óÔé¼┬Ø the woman who had called them filthy, flea ridden mongeralas said. Sally looked at Josh ├óÔé¼┼ôWould you mind getting us some drinks?├óÔé¼┬Ø she asked ├óÔé¼┼ôFor all our new friends. I'm Sally, by the way├óÔé¼┬Ø. Josh walked away, sure that by the time he was back with drinks Sally would have won over every single woman in the group.

Steve was also at the pool. He had rented one of those floating rings, and was just sitting in it. The pool was huge, and despite the rumors that someone had plunged face first into it last night from the fifteenth floor, packed with people. Sandra was doing laps, to work off some weight, but Steve was just loving the sensation of floating. The warm Cuban sun beat down on the hotel. Steve was begging to worry that he hadn't put enough sunscreen on, when- ├óÔé¼┼ôCANNON BALL!├óÔé¼┬Ø May shouted, leaping into the pool. Her splay managed to douse Steve and almost capsize his flotation device. Steve sat up with a jerk, spluttering. The sudden motion finished the job and he fell off his raft, face first into the water.

Steve surfaced, spluttering. He spun around and looked at May. ├óÔé¼┼ôCome on in Jess!├óÔé¼┬Ø May shouted. ├óÔé¼┼ôNo thanks├óÔé¼┬Ø Jess said, his voice muffled. He looked so ridiculously out of place that Steve actually laughed. Jess was surrounded children, women and men all of whom were wearing swimsuits and tee shirts. Jess wore a black leather jacket, black leather pants, black leather gloves that were attached to his wrists with an air tight seal, a black leather over coat a large hat, a baklava and a gas mask. Being a vampire, he needed to wear all that to keep the sun as far away from him as possible. Even so he looked very nervous, constantly starting whenever someone came close to him. ├óÔé¼┼ôWhy a gas mask?├óÔé¼┬Ø Steve asked May. ├óÔé¼┼ôOh├óÔé¼┬Ø May said, her furry ears flattening as water dripped out of them ├óÔé¼┼ôWe got this stuff from an army surplus store├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôIts Vampire gear├óÔé¼┬Ø Jess said ├óÔé¼┼ôFor vampire in wartime. I'm getting a bit sleepy, May├óÔé¼┬Ø he bowed apologetically and shoved his gloved hands in his pockets ├óÔé¼┼ôI'm going inside├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôright├óÔé¼┬Ø May said, waving.

├óÔé¼┼ôSo├óÔé¼┬Ø Steve said ├óÔé¼┼ôDon't you need to sleep?├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôNot really├óÔé¼┬Ø May said, yawning widely ├óÔé¼┼ôStaying up all night is fun, I swear├óÔé¼┬Ø. Steve looked at her. She did have large bags under her eyes, and looked pretty tired. ├óÔé¼┼ôGo inside May├óÔé¼┬Ø he said ├óÔé¼┼ôGet some sleep├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôBut its such a nice day├óÔé¼┬Ø May said. ├óÔé¼┼ôWell├óÔé¼┬Ø Steve said ├óÔé¼┼ôYou need to have some kind of a cycle├óÔé¼┬Ø. May nodded, grumbling. She climbed out of the pool. As she did so her tail smacked Steve in the face, splattering it with water. Steve spluttered and May walked away. He forced his eyes away from her, not wanting to stair. May was a shapely young woman. ├óÔé¼┼ôAre you spending time with other women?├óÔé¼┬Ø Sandra asked. Steve turned around ├óÔé¼┼ôNo! No ...no no no!├óÔé¼┬Ø he said.

Sandra smiled ├óÔé¼┼ôI'm just kidding├óÔé¼┬Ø she said. She leaned in and kissed him ├óÔé¼┼ôI know of how to keep you in the house├óÔé¼┬Ø. Steve smiled ├óÔé¼┼ôYour right├óÔé¼┬Ø He said ├óÔé¼┼ôHow could I have forgotten├óÔé¼┬Ø. Sandra smiled at him. Then the romantic moment was ruined when a wet towel smacked Steve in the side of the head. He spun around, where a bratty kid was laughing uproariously at his unprovoked attack. ├óÔé¼┼ôYou snot!├óÔé¼┬Ø Steve exclaimed, holding his hand to his stinging face. The kid ran away, still laughing. Steve hauled off and hurled the towel at him. It caught the kid in the back and he fell into the pool with a splash. Steve turned back to Sandra, who's shoulders were quivering with silent laughter. ├óÔé¼┼ôNow├óÔé¼┬Ø Steve said, trying to recapture the mood ├óÔé¼┼ôWhere were we?├óÔé¼┬Ø.

Eric sighed slowly ├óÔé¼┼ôLook, sir, its not that hard to spell. It goes B L A I R. Blair├óÔé¼┬Ø. The clerk sighed, blotting out the name Blare on his paper ├óÔé¼┼ôYes sir├óÔé¼┬Ø he said. Eric sighed, wondering exactly why he was here. Oh right. To have a good time. ├óÔé¼┼ôI noticed├óÔé¼┬Ø he said, looking at the tiles that made up the lobby floor. They were still tinged red ├óÔé¼┼ôThat the floor seems to have a bit of a mess├óÔé¼┬Ø he said. ├óÔé¼┼ôAh├óÔé¼┬Ø the clerk said ├óÔé¼┼ôLast night several Revolutionaries tried to shoot up the place. They were stopped by a rather on the ball visitor. Shot them├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôDid they die?├óÔé¼┬Ø Eric asked. ├óÔé¼┼ôNope├óÔé¼┬Ø The clerk said ├óÔé¼┼ôThey were taken away by the Polic├â┬¡a├óÔé¼┬Ø.

├óÔé¼┼ôRight├óÔé¼┬Ø Eric said. ├óÔé¼┼ôYour room key is right here├óÔé¼┬Ø The clerk said, handing him a key. Eric pocketed the key and walked past the blood stains. A woman walked past him, also going to the elevator. Eric stopped dead ├óÔé¼┼ôVictoria!├óÔé¼┬Ø he said. Victoria didn't turn to look at him. Eric walked up to her, almost running to keep pace with her. ├óÔé¼┼ôSeras├óÔé¼┬Ø Eric said ├óÔé¼┼ôits me! Eric!├óÔé¼┬Ø. Victoria stopped, looking at him, her red eyes filled with confusion. ├óÔé¼┼ôExcuse me├óÔé¼┬Ø she said ├óÔé¼┼ôI think you have me confused with someone else├óÔé¼┬Ø. Eric blinked. His eyes were getting a little worse off in their old age. He struck that thought. Forty nine was not old.

├óÔé¼┼ôI am dreadfully sorry├óÔé¼┬Ø Eric said, feeling blood rush into his face ├óÔé¼┼ôBut you are the splitting image of a woman I knew in London├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôOh, thats okay├óÔé¼┬Ø The woman said ├óÔé¼┼ôI'm Ginger├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôEric├óÔé¼┬Ø Eric said, holding out a hand. Ginger took it ├óÔé¼┼ôWell├óÔé¼┬Ø she said ├óÔé¼┼ôAre you taking the elevator?├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôYes├óÔé¼┬Ø Eric said, fishing his key out of his pocket and looking at the room number emblazoned on it ├óÔé¼┼ôI have room A41├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôA41?├óÔé¼┬Ø Ginger asked ├óÔé¼┼ôThats right next to mine├óÔé¼┬Ø. She looked at Eric ├óÔé¼┼ôDid you take a basement suite?├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôNo├óÔé¼┬Ø Eric said, looking forlorn ├óÔé¼┼ôBut every other room is taken and I suppose thats that├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôWell├óÔé¼┬Ø Ginger said, pressing the button on the Elevator door ├óÔé¼┼ôShall we go?├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôAfter you├óÔé¼┬Ø Eric said, bowing. Ginger smiled and walked into the elevator. Eric followed.

As the elevator went down, Ginger stared at the numbers. She always did that. Eric, however, was simply looking at the door. ├óÔé¼┼ôSo├óÔé¼┬Ø Ginger said ├óÔé¼┼ôWhat brings you to Cuba?├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôI wanted a way to get away from the hustle and bustle in London├óÔé¼┬Ø Eric said. ├óÔé¼┼ôHow is London these days?├óÔé¼┬Ø Ginger asked. ├óÔé¼┼ôHave you ever been there?├óÔé¼┬Ø Eric asked. The elevator doors opened. ├óÔé¼┼ôno├óÔé¼┬Ø Ginger said. They walked together to their rooms. Eric went to his, Ginger went to hers. Eric sighed. A staff member of the hotel had set up a cot, but the coffin for the normal people in this room still sat against the wall, leering at him. Eric's suitcase had also been taken down there as well. He opened it and set up the typewriter inside on the table next to the cot.

He started to type. As he typed, he muttered the words under his breath. Then he stopped after a sentence or two. He looked up at the coffin. Eric sighed and went back to typing. Then the coffin intruded on his thoughts again and he stopped. Eric got up and tried to move the coffin. It was nailed to the wall, to prevent people from walking away with it. Or so Eric assumed. Then he heard a knock on the door. Eric opened the door. The young woman who so resembled Victoria, was outside. Ginger was her name. ├óÔé¼┼ôI was wondering if you had a phone in your room?├óÔé¼┬Ø Ginger asked. Eric looked around and saw that his room didn't have a phone. ├óÔé¼┼ôNo├óÔé¼┬Ø he said ├óÔé¼┼ôSorry├óÔé¼┬Ø. Ginger shrugged ├óÔé¼┼ôI guess they think that Vampire don't use phones├óÔé¼┬Ø she muttered and walked away down the corridor.

Josh walked into his hotel room, completely exhausted. First was the kids. They had not gotten tired by swimming around the swimming pool. In fact they had gotten more energetic. So Josh had taken them to one of the parks, Sally walking along with him and chatting about how nice everyone was in Cuba. At the park Josh had to run around with the kids. Sally sat, watching them and laughing. Josh staggered to Sally and collapsed to his knee's. ├óÔé¼┼ôI need help├óÔé¼┬Ø he gasped. The kids surrounded him and started to playfully claw at his clothes. Sally awwwed and patted Josh on the head. ├óÔé¼┼ôCome on kids├óÔé¼┬Ø she said, standing up ├óÔé¼┼ôTime to play with mommy├óÔé¼┬Ø. The kids stayed next to Josh, still clinging to him protectively.

Sally sighed ├óÔé¼┼ôCome on kids!├óÔé¼┬Ø she said. Then she whistled. The kids perked their head up and ran to Sally. Sally started to run around the park. Josh sat down in her chair and watched. He sighed, slowly stretching out on the chair. After a few minutes he felt like getting up and running to Sally, then doing something that would not be very acceptable in a public park. Sally stopped after a few minutes, and as if by some kind of miracle, it seemed she was less tired then the kids. Sally picked the kids up and walked to Josh. ├óÔé¼┼ôWhere too now?├óÔé¼┬Ø she asked, grinning. Josh slowly sighed, standing up ├óÔé¼┼ôI say├óÔé¼┬Ø he said ├óÔé¼┼ôWe got to the hotel├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôRight├óÔé¼┬Ø Sally said.

The second reason he was so tired was Sally. As they walked to the hotel Sally was pressed against his side, her head rubbing against Josh's shoulder. The kids followed, yipping softly. ├óÔé¼┼ôJosh├óÔé¼┬Ø Sally whispered into his ear ├óÔé¼┼ôI have an idea├óÔé¼┬Ø. Josh groaned inwardly. When Sally had an idea it usually had to do with one of two things. Sally whispered into his ear, her lips brushing it she was so close. Josh groaned aloud this time. It was the latter of the two things. The kids were running in circles around them. ├óÔé¼┼ôThe kids├óÔé¼┬Ø Josh pointed out. Sally looked down at them.

├óÔé¼┼ôTake care...of you're kids?├óÔé¼┬Ø Steve asked. ├óÔé¼┼ôYeah├óÔé¼┬Ø Josh said ├óÔé¼┼ôI trust you├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôOkay├óÔé¼┬Ø Steve said, looking a bit nonplussed. ├óÔé¼┼ôHere you go├óÔé¼┬Ø Josh said, handing him a cardboard box filled with the four kids. ├óÔé¼┼ôThanks├óÔé¼┬Ø Steve said, looking at the box. Then the door slammed shut. Josh walked out of the elevator, into the lobby, where Sally was waiting. ├óÔé¼┼ôRight├óÔé¼┬Ø Sally said ├óÔé¼┼ôShall we dance?├óÔé¼┬Ø. Josh grinned and took her arm. They both walked out of the lobby. After they wandered around the city for a while they found the spot they needed. ├óÔé¼┼ôWe don't have music├óÔé¼┬Ø Josh murmured as Sally took his hands. ├óÔé¼┼ôWho needs it?├óÔé¼┬Ø Sally asked.

They started to dace, slowly, around the small alleyway that they had found. It was dirty, but not as dirty as some places in L.A that Josh knew of. ├óÔé¼┼ôThis is a nice country├óÔé¼┬Ø Sally murmured. There was a dull thump in the distance. ├óÔé¼┼ôWhat was that?├óÔé¼┬Ø Josh asked. ├óÔé¼┼ôI don't care├óÔé¼┬Ø Sally murmured as they continued to dance. The dull boom was replaced by something. That Josh could identify. It was gun fire. ├óÔé¼┼ôSally├óÔé¼┬Ø Josh said. Then a car drove past the alleyway. Josh caught a glimpse of two men wearing green camouflage. They were shouting something at the top of their lungs, firing their machine gun into the air. ├óÔé¼┼ôWhat the hell!├óÔé¼┬Ø Sally exclaimed.

Josh held her tight ├óÔé¼┼ôLets go├óÔé¼┬Ø he said. ├óÔé¼┼ôI agree├óÔé¼┬Ø Sally said ├óÔé¼┼ôGoing would be a good idea├óÔé¼┬Ø. They started to run down the alleyway. They came to the hotel. Josh ran to the desk ├óÔé¼┼ôHas there been a war declared?├óÔé¼┬Ø Josh asked. ├óÔé¼┼ôWar?├óÔé¼┬Ø The clerk said ├óÔé¼┼ôNah its just some troublemakers├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôTroublemakers?├óÔé¼┬Ø Josh asked. ├óÔé¼┼ôJust some pranks├óÔé¼┬Ø the clerk said. There was an explosion in the distance. ├óÔé¼┼ôWas that another prank?├óÔé¼┬Ø Josh asked. ├óÔé¼┼ôFireworks?├óÔé¼┬Ø the clerk suggested hopefully. Josh sighed ├óÔé¼┼ôI'm going to my rooms├óÔé¼┬Ø he said. Sally followed him as he walked onto the elevator. As the door's closed Sally said something to Josh.

Eric lugged his typewriter down the hall. The balcony, as he found, was a great place to write. The sunlight on his face and hands made him just feel a bit more alive, more able to think up what would happen. It felt odd that being in a somewhat idyllic place made him write something as depressing as this easily. He pressed the elevator door button. Then he waited for the elevator. He hated waiting for the elevator. That gave him an idea. He made a mental note to put something about elevator into his story. Then the door opened and Eric blanched.

A man was pressing a woman against the side of the elevator, her legs hooked on his hands. He was kissing her neck and her head was turned to the side, a grin plastered over her face. Her ears, witch were furred like a wolf's, were twitching madly. Eric slowly stepped to the other elevator and pressed that button. The door to the other elevator slid shut, cutting off another giggle and the sound of cloth rustling and moving. Eric blushed madly as he stepped into the elevator. This one was unoccupied, and he road it down. He wondered why the man looked so familer.

Sally giggled as Josh's hands began to work around her chest. Then the door to the elevator slid shut and made a slight clinking noise. That jolted her out of her revere and she looked around. The door had opened and closed and she hadn't noticed. ├óÔé¼┼ôJosh├óÔé¼┬Ø she said even as Josh began to undo the strap on the back of her shirt. ├óÔé¼┼ôJosh!├óÔé¼┬Ø she said ├óÔé¼┼ôThe elevator has showed up├óÔé¼┬Ø. Josh looked up ├óÔé¼┼ôOh├óÔé¼┬Ø he said. ├óÔé¼┼ôThe room has a shower├óÔé¼┬Ø Sally murmured. Josh groaned ├óÔé¼┼ôShower?├óÔé¼┬Ø he said. ├óÔé¼┼ôShower├óÔé¼┬Ø Sally said. She sniffed ├óÔé¼┼ôYou're a bit smelly├óÔé¼┬Ø she said. ├óÔé¼┼ôI don't trust you with the soap├óÔé¼┬Ø Josh said, letting Sally down off the wall. ├óÔé¼┼ôGood├óÔé¼┬Ø Sally said, tweaking his nose.

Steve watched as the kids ran around his room. ├óÔé¼┼ôAre you sure this is a good idea?├óÔé¼┬Ø Sandra asked. ├óÔé¼┼ôYeah├óÔé¼┬Ø Steve said ├óÔé¼┼ôIts fine├óÔé¼┬Ø. The kids continued to run around the room. ├óÔé¼┼ôYou know why they wanted to drop them off here├óÔé¼┬Ø Sandra said ├óÔé¼┼ôSo they can have sex├óÔé¼┬Ø. Steve sighed ├óÔé¼┼ôIs that a problem?├óÔé¼┬Ø he asked, looking at Sandra. ├óÔé¼┼ôNot really. Just a note├óÔé¼┬Ø Sandra said. Steve sighed ├óÔé¼┼ôI feel like I should be doing more├óÔé¼┬Ø he said, looking at the kids. ├óÔé¼┼ôI don't think so├óÔé¼┬Ø Sandra said ├óÔé¼┼ôThey seem to be happy enough├óÔé¼┬Ø. They really did, running around the room, yipping and yapping.

Chavez lay in the hospital bed and was glad he was alive. Every night for the past week he had stayed awake, terrified that that...woman would be here. But every night she had not shown up. This night, however, he was worried that something far worse would show up. For some reason, he didn't know exactly why, he was absolutely terrified of something coming. He didn't know what. He didn't know why. He just knew something was coming. Then something appeared on the celling. Chavez craned his head, trying to see what the thing was. It was a splatter of blackness on the celling. Then it formed together and dropped to the floor.

├óÔé¼┼ôOh god├óÔé¼┬Ø Chavez said, wishing he could move. But he was bandaged from head to toe. The figure stood up, slowly stretching to his full height. ├óÔé¼┼ôIts....├óÔé¼┬Ø Chavez gasped. The figures head looked at him, red eye's flashing. Scars covered his otherwise handsome face, and his mouth was twisted and white. ├óÔé¼┼ôIts you!├óÔé¼┬Ø Chavez said. The figure started to laugh ├óÔé¼┼ôYes├óÔé¼┬Ø he said ├óÔé¼┼ôI do look a bit different...but It is me├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôI...I...I tried but she was too├óÔé¼┬Ø Chavez said. The figure took a step forward, cutting him off ├óÔé¼┼ôI don't care├óÔé¼┬Ø he said ├óÔé¼┼ôIs the item safe?├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôYes├óÔé¼┬Ø Chavez said happy that his employer was not angry or anything. ├óÔé¼┼ôNow├óÔé¼┬Ø the figure said ├óÔé¼┼ôWhere is the item?├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôIts safe├óÔé¼┬Ø Chavez said ├óÔé¼┼ôIts very safe. Its with my friend├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôYou're friend being├óÔé¼┬Ø The figure said, smiling indulgently. It looked horrific on that face. ├óÔé¼┼ôFidel├óÔé¼┬Ø Chavez said ├óÔé¼┼ôCastro. Fidel Castro├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôAhhhh├óÔé¼┬Ø the figure smiled widely ├óÔé¼┼ôHow...excellent├óÔé¼┬Ø.

What about trying to sell one of your stories to a publisher? I never took the time to read a full one, but the beginnings are always good ;)

Actually...Darkside has been cleaned up and soon I'm sending it to a publisher (Of sorts) and I'm starting to edit Hunters so it can also be sent to a publisher.

Once it gets published I'm gonna have to yank them from the forums

Sorry but I have too. I really don't want too, but I can't just leave work I'm selling lying around for free.

However you can buy Darkside for 15 dollers (Paper back) or 2 dollers (E-book...shudder. Everyone HATES E-books).

by Guessmyname
I'll have to go e-book. Shipping plus papercost = much

That is true. Now I just need to edit it, but its longer and harder then I thought It would be. Also I'm writing Rose and Darkside: Extinction.

And Vacation (But thats the lowest priority for now...think of this as a pilot...yeah. A pilot episode)

The night fell and the city seemed only brighter. Jess eyed the bright flashing casino lights and the flickering signs that made up nearly every billboard on the streets. ├óÔé¼┼ôThis city├óÔé¼┬Ø he said ├óÔé¼┼ôDose not now how to have a good night├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôWhat are you talking about?├óÔé¼┬Ø May asked, holding three bottles of rum between her two hands. She pulled the stopper out of one of them with her teeth and spat the stopper out the window. It shot four feet in the air and hit the ground. May then proceeded to drink the rum dry. Jess sighed, looking around the bus station they were sequestered in ├óÔé¼┼ôHow long does it take for the bus to arrive?├óÔé¼┬Ø he asked, watching taxi's and cars trundle past, only adding to the lights and sounds.

May dropped a newly empty bottle into a trashcan and grinned, ears up ├óÔé¼┼ôThats good rum├óÔé¼┬Ø she said, blinking away some tears. Then the bus trundled by. One of its wheel's had exploded outwards and its back right corner was on fire. The driver was dead at the wheel, the weight of his corpse keeping down the gas. The bus hit a turn, but kept going straight and crashed into the glass window of a store. Then it exploded. Jess covered his eyes as fire engines started to drive to the scene, the store burning merrily. ├óÔé¼┼ôI'm going to walk├óÔé¼┬Ø he said. May spat another cork into the air and followed him.

├óÔé¼┼ôHere├óÔé¼┬Ø Steve said ├óÔé¼┼ôTake them├óÔé¼┬Ø. Josh looked at the cardboard box with all four of his kids in it. ├óÔé¼┼ôThats...amazing├óÔé¼┬Ø he said softly. They were all asleep ├óÔé¼┼ôIts only nine o'clock├óÔé¼┬Ø Josh said ├óÔé¼┼ôHow did you do it?├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôBit of rum in the milk├óÔé¼┬Ø Steve said, walking away. Josh blanched, almost dropping the box. Then Steve turned around and shouted ├óÔé¼┼ôYou got lipstick on you're face├óÔé¼┬Ø. Josh blinked and whipped at his face. Then he walked to the mirror in his bathroom and blinked. ├óÔé¼┼ôSally├óÔé¼┬Ø He said ├óÔé¼┼ôUse less lipstick this time├óÔé¼┬Ø. A slender leg, shining with wetness, stuck out of the shower and placed itself on Josh's shoulder. ├óÔé¼┼ôAre the kids really asleep?├óÔé¼┬Ø Sally asked. ├óÔé¼┼ôYeah├óÔé¼┬Ø Josh said. The toe's started to play with Josh's hair. Josh placed his finger on the calf on Sally's leg and slowly traced a line up and below the kneecap.

Sally giggled ├óÔé¼┼ôIts hard to balance you know├óÔé¼┬Ø She said. Josh smiled and walked into the shower, kicking the door closed behind him. Sally started to slide of her leg on Josh's shoulder, but he grabbed it. ├óÔé¼┼ôOh thats naughty├óÔé¼┬Ø Sally murmured as he moved her left leg up onto his shoulder and walked forward. Her tail began to beat a pattern against the porcelain wall of the shower. ├óÔé¼┼ôOh├óÔé¼┬Ø Sally said, eye's widening ├óÔé¼┼ôOh├óÔé¼┬Ø. Her back made a squelching noise as she ground it against the shower wall. ├óÔé¼┼ôJosh├óÔé¼┬Ø Sally gasped. Josh looked up. ├óÔé¼┼ôMy turn├óÔé¼┬Ø Sally said, eyes dancing.

Josh thought he heard a noise. ├óÔé¼┼ôSally├óÔé¼┬Ø he said ├óÔé¼┼ôDid you hear that?├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôIts just somebody knocking├óÔé¼┬Ø Sally said, looking away, her ears twitching and slowly rotating. Josh sighed, pulling his pants up. ├óÔé¼┼ôBut I just├óÔé¼┬Ø Sally started. ├óÔé¼┼ôDon't worry├óÔé¼┬Ø Josh said ├óÔé¼┼ôIt's probably some maid or something├óÔé¼┬Ø. He opened the shower door, glad that he had talked Sally out of turning on the water with him still having his clothes on. Sally followed, her skin still slick and wet. She started to towel off, tail swishing back and forth and slapping water every where. Josh watched her, jaw slack for a moment. Sally smiled lopsidedly slowed down her drying motions. Then another knock sounded, louder this time.

Josh walked to the door, saying ├óÔé¼┼ôJust a moment, just a moment├óÔé¼┬Ø. Sally pulled on her shirt. It barely covered her pelvis, leaving large parts of her thighs exposed. ├óÔé¼┼ôThat'll do├óÔé¼┬Ø Sally muttered and stepped out of the bathroom. Josh opened the door. Then the bag went over his head and he was pulled into the hallway. Sally's hand flew to her mouth, cutting of a gasp. Then she ran to the door and saw a man wearing a black trench coat, a black hat and sunglasses. He looked at her and grinned. Then he sunk into the ground, holding Josh in a nasty looking headlock. Then he was gone. Sally ran to the spot where the man had sunk into the floor. ├óÔé¼┼ôVampires├óÔé¼┬Ø she muttered ├óÔé¼┼ôGod damned vampires├óÔé¼┬Ø.

├óÔé¼┼ôHey Steve├óÔé¼┬Ø Sally said ├óÔé¼┼ôI have a small favor to ask you├óÔé¼┬Ø. Steve nodded, somewhat sleepily ├óÔé¼┼ôYeah├óÔé¼┬Ø he said ├óÔé¼┼ôI can take care of you're kids├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôOh├óÔé¼┬Ø Sally said, her ears drooping ├óÔé¼┼ôThanks├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôIts okay├óÔé¼┬Ø Steve said ├óÔé¼┼ôI know that you love my brother. Giving you some time alone is a...privilege├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôYeah├óÔé¼┬Ø Sally said ├óÔé¼┼ôIt might be a few...days before I can get back to you├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôDays├óÔé¼┬Ø Steve blinked, feeling a little woozy. ├óÔé¼┼ôThanks├óÔé¼┬Ø Sally said, pecking him on the cheek and handing him the cardboard with her kids in it. Then she walked down the hall, pulling a pistol out of her purse and turning the safety off. Steve didn't see this. Instead he was looking at the box that held the kids. ├óÔé¼┼ôDays├óÔé¼┬Ø He gasped ├óÔé¼┼ôwoman...must have stamina├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôWhat was that?├óÔé¼┬Ø Sandra asked from the bed.

Steve shook his head ├óÔé¼┼ôNothing├óÔé¼┬Ø he said ├óÔé¼┼ôWe're going to have these kids on our hands again├óÔé¼┬Ø. He looked up the corridor just as Sally rounded the corner. Then he saw a little girl standing behind her. The girl brought her finger to her lips and shushed. Then she followed Sally. Steve blinked, wondering what that was. He turned around and walked into his room. He closed the still broken door and placed the box on the bar that he kept. He caught a glimpse of himself in the mirror and almost knocked the box over. ├óÔé¼┼ôAre you okay?├óÔé¼┬Ø Sandra asked, sitting up in her bed and placing her book down. ├óÔé¼┼ôIs there anything strange about my face?├óÔé¼┬Ø Steve asked, eyes boggling.

He looked at Sandra. ├óÔé¼┼ôNo├óÔé¼┬Ø Sandra said. Steve turned back to the mirror. His face was no longer literally rotting off his skull. Steve shook himself and grabbed a bottle off the bar. He downed half of it without coming up for air and shook himself again, trying to shake himself out of the jitters. ├óÔé¼┼ôSteve├óÔé¼┬Ø Sandra asked ├óÔé¼┼ôAre you okay?├óÔé¼┬Ø. Steve drank another gulp out of the bottle and said ├óÔé¼┼ôYeah...fine├óÔé¼┬Ø. He turned around. Sandra looked at him, a bit worried. ├óÔé¼┼ôHow long till the kids wake up??├óÔé¼┬Ø Sandra asked, looking at the box. Then Harry started to yip loudly. He climbed out of the box and started running around on the bar top.

Sally almost ran into Ginger on the way out. ├óÔé¼┼ôWhoa Sally!├óÔé¼┬Ø Ginger said as Sally backed up. She almost dropped her gun. ├óÔé¼┼ôHi Ginger├óÔé¼┬Ø Sally said ├óÔé¼┼ôI'm in a bit of a rush├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôWhats with the gun?├óÔé¼┬Ø Ginger asked. ├óÔé¼┼ôOh├óÔé¼┬Ø Sally said ├óÔé¼┼ôJust some vampires I need to kill├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôHave...fun with that├óÔé¼┬Ø Ginger said a bit dazedly as Sally pushed past her and ran out of the lobby. ├óÔé¼┼ôWho was that?├óÔé¼┬Ø Eric asked. Ginger jumped. ├óÔé¼┼ôI'm dreadfully sorry├óÔé¼┬Ø Eric said, seeing the expression on Ginger's face. ├óÔé¼┼ôIts all right├óÔé¼┬Ø Ginger said ├óÔé¼┼ôIts just you surprised me...whats that you got there?├óÔé¼┬Ø.

Eric blinked, looking at the pile of papers he held under his arm. ├óÔé¼┼ôOh├óÔé¼┬Ø he said ├óÔé¼┼ôIts just...my book├óÔé¼┬Ø he said. ├óÔé¼┼ôHow is it coming?├óÔé¼┬Ø Ginger asked. ├óÔé¼┼ôFine...fine├óÔé¼┬Ø Eric looked around ├óÔé¼┼ôI have to be going├óÔé¼┬Ø. He walked away, heading for the elevators. A single paper slipped out from his grasp and slid over the floor. Ginger picked it up and said ├óÔé¼┼ôHey you-├óÔé¼┬Ø. The elevator doors closed and Ginger was left there, holding the paper. She turned it right side up and read the words. Her eyebrows shot to the top of her forehead. This was pretty...good. She walked to the elevator and pressed the open button. After a few moments the doors opened and she keyed her floor.

Eric was reading through his paper. Then he realized page 93 was missing. ├óÔé¼┼ôBugger├óÔé¼┬Ø he muttered, looking over the papers. Maybe he had mixed it up with some other page. But it was well and truly gone. He stood up and walked to the door. He would have to find it out where ever he had dropped it. He opened his door and found Ginger standing outside, arm raised to knock. ├óÔé¼┼ôOh├óÔé¼┬Ø Ginger said ├óÔé¼┼ôI...er..I uh found this page of yours├óÔé¼┬Ø. Eric took the proffered page and smiled, relived he wouldn't have to stoop around looking for the page. At forty nine he was not very sprightly and bending over was a pain. ├óÔé¼┼ôThank you very much├óÔé¼┬Ø he said, looking at page 93.

├óÔé¼┼ôI read the page├óÔé¼┬Ø Ginger said ├óÔé¼┼ôand...it's really good├óÔé¼┬Ø. Eric smiled ├óÔé¼┼ôThank you very much├óÔé¼┬Ø He said again. ├óÔé¼┼ôCan I read the rest?├óÔé¼┬Ø Ginger asked. Eric blinked ├óÔé¼┼ôSure├óÔé¼┬Ø he said, handing her the pages. ├óÔé¼┼ôThanks├óÔé¼┬Ø Ginger said, sounding surprised ├óÔé¼┼ôI'll...see you later├óÔé¼┬Ø she walked away. Eric realized he had only just started editing the pages he had started to write. ├óÔé¼┼ôI suppose├óÔé¼┬Ø he said ruefully ├óÔé¼┼ôThat I will say anything to a pretty face. Even a dead one├óÔé¼┬Ø. Then he sat down and decided to keep writing what he hadn't finished. He'd have to edit those pages later. He started to write, his typewriter clacking as he did so.

Ginger read the pages, slowly going through them. It was dark, riveting stuff. ├óÔé¼┼ôI hope this never happens├óÔé¼┬Ø she muttered, reading the story. Then she checked her watch. It was almost time for her little trip. She placed the pages on her table next to the coffin and walked out of the room. She walked to the elevators and road them up to the lobby. Then she walked out of the lobby and into the night streets. As she walked out May and Jess walked in, both completely exhausted from their walk. ├óÔé¼┼ôDamn buses├óÔé¼┬Ø May said. She had long ago placed her empty rum bottles into trash cans. ├óÔé¼┼ôI know├óÔé¼┬Ø Jess said ├óÔé¼┼ôThey keep saying nothing is going on, but I seem to see a lot of explosions and gun fire and such around here├óÔé¼┬Ø. To underline his words gunshots rang out along with screams and shouts of ├óÔé¼┼ôViva La Revolucion├óÔé¼┬Ø.

Ginger took three steps and sank into the ground. She slowly slid out of the celling of Chavez's hospital room. Chavez snored loudly as she dropped almost silently to the floor. He was still completely bound by bandages and splints, making him look more like a mummy then anything else. ├óÔé¼┼ôHello Chavez├óÔé¼┬Ø Ginger said. Chavez jumped, as best he could, and screamed when his still broken legs were jostled. ├óÔé¼┼ôGinger!├óÔé¼┬Ø he gasped. ├óÔé¼┼ôHey Chavez... I came by to ask you some questions├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôNo├óÔé¼┬Ø Chavez moaned. ├óÔé¼┼ôNow├óÔé¼┬Ø Ginger said, leaning over the bed as the walls and ground faded away ├óÔé¼┼ôTell me where the item is...├óÔé¼┬Ø.

Ginger walked into the lobby of the hospital. She gave a large tip to the nurse working the front desk, saying in what little Spanish she knew ├óÔé¼┼ôGive Chavez a large money├óÔé¼┬Ø. The nurse waited till the American was out of the building then pocketed the twenty American dollars. Then she heard screaming from the back. The nurse stood up and ran, along with the other nurses who heard the screaming. They ran to the room where the screaming came from and pounded on the door. ├óÔé¼┼ôMr. Chavez! Mr. Chavez!├óÔé¼┬Ø A doctor shouted, pounding on the door as well.

Dracula slowly drew his hands away from Chavez. Blood dripped off his scared hands. Chavez wouldn't tell anyone about the item now. It was only too bad that Ginger had gotten there first. Dracula heard the door give slightly and dropped into the floor. The door burst open and the doctors and nurses ran in. One of the nurses screamed. The doctor's hand flew to his mouth. Chavez was quite dead, his entrails dripping and wrapped around the medical support units that surrounded him. ├óÔé¼┼ôOh god├óÔé¼┬Ø The doctor gasped ├óÔé¼┼ôWho was the last one in here?├óÔé¼┬Ø. ├óÔé¼┼ôAn American├óÔé¼┬Ø the nurse who had pocketed the twenty ├óÔé¼┼ôSome woman├óÔé¼┬Ø.

Steve slowly rolled over in his sleep. Then he heard the sound of footsteps. He sat up, suddenly awake. He looked around for the sound he had heard. He couldn't see anyone in the room. He lay back on his bed, closing his eyes. Sandra slipped her arm over his chest, still asleep. Steve rolled his head open and opened his eyes, looking at his wife. Then he rolled his head back to its normal position and saw the celling. Black footprints, etched in some kind of dark liquid ran from over his bed, curving across the celling to the door, where they vanished. Steve's eyes bugged. This had to be a dream. Then a single dribble of of the liquid dropped from the celling onto Steve's face. He whipped it off with one hand. It was blood.

Then Josh's kids broke the feeling of horror by starting to yap and run around.
