Spring RTS Engine

I just saw that there is a war evolution modification called (N) 0.1.
I dont know who made this modification, but i want the person to stop the work on this projekt.
There are different reason:

1. The version i made wasnt official, so it was just a test version
2. My model spent me really a lot of work (most work was scripting), also it is the first and unique model with all these features - i dont want that people use my work at this state of the mod
3. No one asked me if he is allowed to use the mod
4. I dont want that people put my work BEFORE me official and mod it

I know that taking units and other stuff is nearly normal in Spring and TA, but you have to understand that War Evolution is not done yet. It is in an early alpha state and i think no modder around here wants to see other people modify their work before they even finished it and had the chance to show the mod in full action (finished = not in beta or alpha).

I really understand if people cant script and therefore they have to take my mod, so i will allow people to take my work, but not at this time -after i had the chance to show it in full action and if they ask me.

Right now it is like if you are waiting for christmass and you open your gifts before the 24. dezember...
Also you force me to dont make any public alpha or beta tests anymore and that would mean that you cant play with the new models not before 2 months or more.

no release was made. I changed the game for a few friends of mine so we could have more fun. I'm not taking any credit for it, and I'm not trying to pass it off as my own work. I have no plans on turning this into a 'project' beyond a few games with some buddies of mine. I tweaked a handful of things to make it look nicer and play better for us, but its not going to see the light of day beyond the few people I played with.


Anyways, 4 people have this varient, total.

If anything, you should be flattered that someone liked your design and work enough to spend their own time trying to improve on it.

if it is just for private i m ok with it.
And i dont have a problem when people modify my work, that shows me that what i did is good, but you have to understand that if someone is designing something, it is normal, that he wants to be the first who makes it public and show it to others.
So please hold it private and play it with your friends.
Believe me if you would make a mod yourself, you would think the same.

he has made his own mod (lol :))
