Unitlimit would increase when allies dies or quits?

I just played a game where all my allies left/disconnected.

I had to play with 500 unitlimit on a map where is no metal, against 3 players.
To be able to build units i had to self-d like 300 units, mostly wind generators.

The thing is, i cant make enough units to defend my base, so 50% of my base was destroyed soon.
Even then, its impossible to win with 500 unitlimit against 3 players. I need at least 200 units to attack with, to make any damage.
And no, i cant increase the unitlimit, or the game will start lagging because everyone have like 1000 units in some time.

If you see my point, when your allies leaves, you should get higher unitlimit! Its not fair now.

And no, im not whining because i lost :-) Just suggesting.

How should the unitlimit be devided?
All to the one that .take's the left player?

Or should it be devided between the remaning team members?

Shounds like a good id├â┬®a though :-)

To be fair, unit limits should be team-defined.
This would solve this problem.

Could be quite anoying if a teammate builds upp 75% of all the units... then you wouldn't get any more after 250... or something like that ;p

I like the way Battle for middle earth works... if a player leaves... all other get their limits raised ;) [not just the own team]

Yeah, when player leaves: his limit + your limit = your total limit

No, team based limit doesnt sound good, then its all about who builds faster units, and so on...

Then you shout at your team mate to do more teamplay.

No... that wont never work :D

I shout every day, and nothing happens. Like: "give one construction unit please" (repeated 10 times in 20minutes) and nothing happens.

That is not a solution at all. There is people who doesnt listen, or who cant english, or people who dont care.

When teammate dies and you take:

Their limit + your limit = your new limit.

Very good, very practical.

i agree, getting your allies unit limit added you yours when you .take makes sense, ive had problems when ive .taken more than 1 teammate at a time and reached my unit limit. Dosent happen often, but would be useful i thikn.
