Xect vs Mynn

I am going to help make this mod, a mod of the people that we can play without living in fear of atari (not that atari is fearsome). A mod for linux and windows users alike. A mod made by gamers for gamers.
Once we have the general ideas for the commanders I'll move on to what the commander can build and we as a community will go through the build tree until we have things the way we want.
First
We will hash out the gameplay while talking about the units ie
"I think the commander should shoot deathrays out it's eyes so I wont have to worry about rushes" REJECTED
I think we should go for ta like and I want it to showcase as much of the engine as possible.
(I reserve the right to completely reject someones ideas if they are a newb trying to make gameplay fit their crap playing.)
Starting with the commanders
We have the Xect commander - robots
We have the Mynn commander - bio bug/creature/alien things
Shared Commander ideas:
1. Must have a D-gun because those are cool. Renamed to avoid intelectual property rights stuff to the Commander-Cannon or C-cannon (I'm very open to suggestions on that one)
2. The commander needs to be able to defend a base for at least the first 2 or 3 minutes. I'm thinking weaker standard attack than AA the (com lasers), with a larger reclaim area than in AA with much more health than in AA.
3. Smaller death explosion radius but just as cool and destructive.
4. Still has a very strong nanolathe (nanolathe = construction power)
5. NO MORE NANOLATHE I want this mod as far away from acual ta stuff as possible so developers get on that. At the very least different colors of nanolathe. For the time being though it will be green nanolathe.
6. Different C-Cannons for each com
Xect Commander ideas:

2. Maybe get a new model and script to make it like a Dalek but still different enough.
3. Beamer style laser if we have a dalek style model. If not I'm thinking Xect com gets a minigun with green bullets
Mynn Commander ideas:
1. Cool bug/creature/alien sounds, see the sounds thread http://taspring.clan-sy.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=6253
2. Shoots deathrays out it's eyes and has a paralysing stomp move and shoots fireballs out it's buttocks. In reality I'm thinking throwing a shotgun style quill weapon that can hit an area. Maybe poison EDIT acid, would this be possible? damage over time? /EDIT ?
Things to think about also
1. Should the commanders and races to be fundamentally different. If so how? (Core and Arm are very close to eachother.)
2. CONTRIBUTING
3. Beautiful women (except for Felix)
4. What sort of animations or effects do you want the commanders to have or if you really have a vision of what they should look like make a model and texture and script is to be awesome or just make a model and we, as a community, can work on it.
5. Paralyzing stomp unit with abother weapon or ability
We can do this.
