Whenever I play Delta Seige, the map loads up, and then a few seconds after getting in-game, it crashes back to the Spring lobby.

WTF.

I don't know, I started a thread about it a while back and people largely ignored it. Then they started a flame war and I believe it was locked.

Yeah, Delta doesn't seem to work with the new version of Spring.

and I have ATI.

Maybe its Nvidia for once! mwhaha

Probobly not though. This seems very random and I doubt the error can be figured out if there is not any way to log the crash.

*sighs* we already discussed that, nope it isn't the cards. We are not sure what is causing it. Some think it is something to do with the smd

Second, lets not get into the one company is better then the other bickering this community is bigger then that.

Negative sun directions. Maybe you should search for it so I don't have to spend 40 minutes typing up and explaination.

I count about three or so months ago. I remember debates about it during (my) shcool year, and it's slap bang in the middle of summer.

I think I have the same problem on Risk v3 map - it's fine unless I zoom out a little way, then it crashes. It used to work in old versions of Spring, I cna only think that because the new version allows you to zoom out further than before that this problem rears its ugly head.

Might as well do it as soon as possible, there's no good reason to keep an old version circulating while our map hosting is down anyways, When we get the new servers up lets have the new version ready.

As i said be4 i don't think that is the issue. Perhaps someone who has the crash could fiddle around with the smd and find out what causes the crash.

For me the deltasiege maps work fine!

I have an Nvidia GF6800GT I think, so it's not an ATI/NVidia issue, it's something else...

Well, I have a NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200, and I have never had problems with deltasiege. And it is the main map I use for AI testing.

It is the issue NOiZE. I have proved it over over over over over again. I would rather not argue.

I used to fix maps all the time and upload them under different versions, but a map maker with as much "stature" as icexuick should fix his own maps, which is why I never did it.

Set the sun values to positive numbers and no one will crash on it anymore.

so you can also break a map by giving it negative values?? Did you try that? All deltasiege maps work fine for me!
