It has been a long time since I've released a map! The original splintered tropics was released un-finished. It took me awhile to get enough free time to put some finishing touches on the map. It is 16x16 6 player btw.

Shame about the mip mapping, but I know that's not your fault. Looks nice.

nice map!!

as i always i try to give some constructive critic:

- Wind and Tidal are both more effective then solar.
- i miss some features
- Why is it called splintered tropics, i was imaging jugle style (which isn't possible now, but still)?

Maybe I'll add features eventually :) Noize do you mean the name sounds too much like a jungle map for the look or the map looks too much like a jungle map for the name?

The name would suggest a jungle map, and the map is a tropical map but it lacks jungle type trees

How does the name 'splintered tropics' suggest a jungle map? It doesn't have to be the deep tropical rainforest, it is on the shoreline. I've thought about adding the standard palm-tree feature, I might in the future if it looks decent.

well it's just that empty now....

Maybe jungle is not the correct work, but indeed some palms and other bushes and stuff like that. like a tropical paradise

Looks great, however it needs some palm trees and schrubs in a bad way.

This map looks like the spiritual successor to one of my favorites of the early spring days, Green Isles.

Green isles was a really cool map (Both gameplay-wise and visually).
