Yeah, here people can just talk about an idea then put it to mantis as a fully realised idea. Its rather like a pulishing process. The inital idea is brought forward, refined, then sent off to be made public. except that in this case its sent off to annoy the devs

We don't want every feature request on mantis, that makes it to hard to find the bugs. We'll transfer the well rounded feature requests from here to mantis.

Besides that, how many people actually browse mantis on a regular basis?
