Problems joining certain games

I can create games, people will join them. I can play TASpring perfectly with any mods and have no errors or apparent bugs or anything. But, when I try to join a internet game someone else made it says I don't have the right mod, then asks me if I want to download it. Even if I already have it and the map and everything I need.
Anyone know a solution to this problem?

UPDATE: I could join my friends game alright when he created one. Though he lives close by me.

if it sais you don't have the right mod... you probably don't have the right mod... PM one of the people in the game and ask for a link... you will need to close and reopen the tasclient to get it to be recognised...

closing TAS isn't needed: just open the battlescreen, press 'host battle' button, and press 'renew mod list' or something like that.

You need to have the exact same version of the mod as the host. That means if the host's mod is AA 2.11, you need that version. If you host, you probably have something like AA 2.1, which most people also have, so it works.

I vaguely remember seeing a thread talking about a version of AA that was uploaded with a minor problem and rereleased a couple of hours later with same version number... Maybe that's your problem (and your mate has the same downloaded version.) Don't have time to hunt the exact thread/message, but you might want to confirm to see if you get the problem in other mods, if not then redownload the mod you are having issues with.
