Babylon 5

Now here ye, here ye. I am Zoombie, and i am here to tell you that Babylon 5 rocks. If you havent seen it... watch it on DVD. If you are a Star Trek fan... whatch it anyway. Its got great music, amazing space battles, and a actual respect for pysiscs and inerta. By amazing space battles i mean, in sted of the old style whitch gose something like this

Space ship captin: "FIRE" Spaceship fires...enemy fires...spaceship fires...enemy fires.... spaceship fires....enemy fires...spaceship fires...enemy exploeds.

Now in Babylon 5 (and other shows that followed it)

Starship captin: "Lauch Fighters, prepair Intercepter" FIgthers launch out of flight bays, and the Defence guns ready them selves. The enemy ship opens its guns and fires. A few shots from the Space ships Intercepters blow it to bits, and the Space ship is unharmed. The fighters fly towards the enemy ship and start to strafe around it, fireing shots of plasma into the enemy. One is hit by a enemy shot and is blow to peices. The Space Ship is raked across its side by a laser beam, and begins to fire round after round from their deck guns (whitch if you look closely, are being compensated by engians on the other side of the guns). The Enemy ships interepters blow a few of the shot up, but a few blast it into it, hitting its engians. Ships Crewmember: "Captin, their reactors going critical" Ships Captin: "Recal fighter!" The figthers spinn on their axses and hit the after burners. The enemy ship blows apart in a fusion blast.

Also another thing whitch makes Babylon 5 great, are the Starfuries. Starfuris may superficaly look like X wings. I mean look at them
http://www.uic.nnov.ru/~biev1/bab5/starfury.jpg

But see, they have engians on the edges of their wings, allowing them to spin in every direction instantly, as well as engians on the bottom witch allow it to "hop" over enemy ships. Starfuriys need this moblity cause, unlike Star Trek, they dont have sheilds. They have armour, but unfortunatly, armour dosent do much to detter plasma. So if they get hit, they are most likely dead. Unless the enemy is realy realy weak. Also Starfurys look realy cool when they are dogfighting, so its worth whatchig Babylon 5 just for the space battles whitch get very frequent later on. But its also worth whatching for the story. Even though the CGI might look a bit dated by nowadays standerds, they still look pretty cool.

Their is one realy important rule about Babylon 5...
Babylon 5 has a Beggining, middle and End so, whatch it in that order.

I have seen all of Bab 5 and all of the 4 modern Star Trek series, and while the good episode of Star Trek may be better than a relative episode of B5, B5 as a series, which, unlike Star Trek, it must be watched as, is superior. Also, Enterprise would be alive a flourishing if Paramount had given the pen to J. Michael Straczynski.

Iv alwawys thought that B5 give's meaning to the word "the summ of all its parts is greater the the whole" or something along those lines. Also about Enterprise, i saw some of the later episiodes and remarked to one of my freinds "Hey they are trying to be more like Babylon 5" and he said "Yah, but they arnt that good yet"

But it is great fun.

Nice to meet you Rose, Now run for your life!!

Its such a shame the BBC didn't pay him a litte more so as he would sing a longer contract. Insed they went cheep and gave him a one series and so he goes Fine! If they want to go the cheep route and just expect me to come back ill go of and do somthing else. BBC can be such idiots.

Even if each doctor only stays for one series then they still have quite a few left! However im sure there aware of that and the next guy (the guy in cassanova probablie) will proablie be roped into a longer contract.

there are 16 in total, and we are on number 11. however, thats for normal time lords, dont forget teh doctor is part human, so that might either lessen or boost the number of lives he gets.

I thought the doctor only had 13 lives?

Anyways the doctors fans will want the program to carry on into the next millenium

any new sci fi series starts off quite fun then moves into more series teritory, the only exeption to this rule is space 1999, and maybe star trek TOS.
