I reckon Deci and Swiftspear are getting rather annoyed with people making useless spam threads.

I just don't understand why we can't have spam threads in the off topic forums, what's wrong with useless posts? do they hurt anything?

The concept isn't palatible for some, fun for others. I don't think it's hurting anyone to have an outlet for the kids here (young and old), though if the mods dissagree then that's their choice to make.

of course blatant spamming & advertising is a little silly.

not spam: we could make a childrens playground forum where all the kids go to do silly things, leaving the rest of the community in an adultish tone. posts autolocked after 24hrs.

we need more active moderators. I don't know what is going on.

This is great, a spamthread made to protest spamthreads. If we needed more moderators then all the spamthreads wouldn't be locked now would they? It's not horrendous if a few people manage to post before the lock gets in, as long as it's not a porn image thread or something... in which case feel free to highlight the hell out of us in IRC. Me, Deci, Noize, Betalord and JC all idle #sy on quakenet and we're glad to respond on call in emergencies.
