Forward a range of ports , 8450->8470, it seems to help.

And make sure it's forwarding only UDP

Spring suddenly stopped working for me. Same problem I think, I join a game with my friends and I see the countdown timer with "Connecting to server/host". And my friends report that they can't connect too me.

It worked fine for a few days then suddenly without changing anything it stopped. I reinstalled spring but it didn't help, and I tried the port range thing... :S

Your Computers IP might have changed...

Use a Programme Called Hover IP to check your Forwarding the correct IP

You mean my network ip? (e.g 192.168.0.3)

We get it working now when my friend disabled "Holepunching" on his router.

I have that problem sometimes.

It's a bug in 0.72b1 that's fixed int he next version. If you join a game AFTER the host has finished loading this can occur. Tobi made a thread about ti. the quick fix is for the host to delete their path cache for that map

I wonder if it really is the same problem, since we would try different maps. The problem had been going on for 3 days before it stopped now.
