The Final Arguments Against Mac

Basically Mac is almost at the point where you honestly might as well get a mac.
my 4 remaining reasons are:
"That Kind of Better", as the commercial sais, the 500 things that apple designed a mac to do, it makes easier, simpler, and all around more refined then win or lin, for everything else it's garbage. As one of those people who does 500 different things with a computer that arn't on that list, I prefer PC.
Games: Mac doesn't have as many games for it yet... with the intel processor that becomes a null point some would say... but I'm talking about OSX vs Win or Lin, not Mac Vs PC
Price: *gag* *hack* *choke* - though with a little bit of comparisson shopping, this is getting closer.

All quashed by a simple piece fo mac software
bootcamp.
Dont like MacOSX? Just use bootcamp to install and run XP on a mac.
There's even software that provides wine like abilities for Mac that runs very well.
Ontop of that Macs tend to be powerful computers, which can show when they boot into XP. All that power needed to do graphcial work with movies and whatnot is the same sort of stuff used in games.
Though I dont like the price tag of an Apple mac.

As I said, My beef is with only OSX and the price tag, not with the mac hardware

Oh yeah, I'll get bootcamp so that I can emulate a real OS on my expensive paperweight. Or just buy a real computer for $400 and get the same performance.

I personally stopped using Macs seriously after OS 7.0 - they just couldn't cut it in terms of, well, anything. OS X... it's cute, but I don't see any superiority there, and the programs are still lacking in variety.

I will never ever get a mac.
The macintosh operating system has the same pros and cons as the linux operating system, except that linux is free. Gee, I wonder which one I should go with.
And the actual hardware of every mac systems are crap. They're comperable to that of a $300 cheaper windows system.
There is no reason I would want a computer that does LESS than a $300 cheaper computer, but is slightly more stable. And if I wanted something that does less and is more stable, I could put linux on my computer, for FREE.

i have no purpose for a MAC at the moment. while i really do hate them, mainly due to the fact that i've been using a PC, they are not worthless. each OS has it's uses. If you're videoediting, you're better off using a MAC as opposed to a PC with Windows. Windows, in my eyes, was made as more of a business PC and it just became the most popular with regular users.

definately true we have macs in the media department, alex showed me some of his media stuff and it was a lot easier to do than with windows!

For me, the mac hardware will always be worth the extra cash. It isn't better stat-wise, but it is far more reliable. Yes, a pc with comparable stats will be $300-$500 cheaper, but the rock stable, designed to work together hardware of the mac is totally worth the extra cash.
To be clear, I'm talking about the stuff in the box. Mac mice and keyboards are FOR THE LOSE. But meh, I buy a good logitech mouse with whatever computer I buy, mac or pc, so it's a moot point for me.
As for the OS, I agree with most of you that, meh, and OS is an OS. They all have +s and -s. Personally I find them about equally easy to use, and I use them both on a daily basis.
I actually run Spring on a bootcamp instal on an iMac with the intel duo core. It is far and away the best computer I have ever owned, and I really actually do use both OS's. I swap back and forth all the time.
