..:: Release ::.. Energy Spire Plain (10x10)

This map is based on Gasplant Plain, but as Spring doesn't support scripted features i made a little variation on it. It's Flat, has High winds and each starting posistion has 4 Geo spots. So be prepared for fast and hectic action, as this map is made for fast OTA style gameplay.

Might be nice if you put in semi-random metal placement like GPP had rather than those boxes.

Woo! Shiny!

There needs to be more maps that are kinda-based-sorta on OTA maps :D

It'd be cool to have an alternate one with a Gasplant Plain type metal layout, but this ones very nice indeed anyway.

It would be nice to have a little bit of displacement so the map doesn't look so wierd in 3D. The flattest of planes in real life aren't perfectly flat.

It is entirely flat, which means it's very hard to porc.

Flat can be good, and it can be bad. I personally prefer terrain, but that won't stop me from enjoying this map.

Today, Das Bruce learns what "plains" means. Didn't you ever play OTA? Gasbag Plains = flat map with lots of energy-harvestable explosive features.

I think he meant that a plain does not necessarily have to be completely flat.

Imho the map could've done with some more contrast, as I don't want to wear out my eyes prematurely. Sure I could increase the brightness of my screen, but then I lose contrast and the colors become washed out, which isn't very enjoyable either. Not all of us have perfect LCD screens with godlike visibility.

Lathan, i would also make features & use them - if

it was not so horrible to handle. I even have problems with Trees & Geos, Type already. Why not make A Ingame Feature Placement Request at the Developers Thread ? I can imagine having the Features Turned and build inside (with a ConPlane) and then Render a Bitmap out, and the Filestructure.
