As much as I love flayra I really can't start giving him more money unless NS:S is becoming visable. I'm massively involved in the modding scene right now and I just don't see NS:S happening now after a year of downtime on the NS site.

HI is like a faster version of CS, I still Hate CS therfore I Hate HI!
NS is OKAY but what I'm REALLY waiting for is TS 3.0
You evil developers/testers always say soon.
It's halfway through 2006 and it's still not out, Dammit!

HI is a realistic version of CS without rampant l33t h4x0rz, lameness, idiocy, and "ZOMG YOU NUB DNT GET OBJEKTIFES THIS SI DEFMACTH !!!!!11"... but you're perfectly within your rights not to like it...
...and on to TS 3.0... uh... let me say that if any of us testers had the power to make it come out tomorrow, it would be out tomorrow. We're waiting on Morfeo, who has dropped off the planet. Morfeo refuses to release the source code or allow anyone else (besides Vino) to develop, and insists that every change meets with his approval, which is difficult if nobody has heard from him in two months.

That's one of the things I love about the mod comunity. Nazidevs.
Personally a good game of sven every now and then is pretty awesome. TS is a bit too overpaced for my taste. NS is great except for some design issues that it's now too late to fix anyways. Science and industry was fun but a little hard to just pick up. I think the problem was the rounds were too long and convoluted. HI I liked, but it got boring fast like CS did. These days I spend most of my time KZ jumping in CS

Whats this huge NS problem? Onoes, Lerk spores? And TS is good, Dual Pistols + Katana ftw.

Heh, You mean the time they oculd blink through walls?
And they ain't end all now anyway. 2 marines with lmg can take a fade down if they manouvre.
Anyway, I always play skulk --> lerk --> fade --> onos in combat, and I never stay on fade very long. devourkills ftw.

Mostly the onos, it's a totally skilless class that is impossible to balance between combat mode and NS mode because of it's nature. The way the onos is built weakens the game's competitive playability because it's virtually unusable for several reasons.
The second big problem is the game's utter dependance on the second hive. If aliens can't get the second hive up within 8 minutes they lose, period, if marines can't get the second hive down within ten minutes their chances of winning plummet to virtually nonexistant. It takes the game and makes the whole thing ammount to a 2 minute period of time.
RFK is also a problem. It's bad enough that the game in it's RTS nature favors people who make more kills because they can take more ground, the game really doesn't need the mechanic of a single marine spawncamping the hive to bank an upgrade or a pair of shotties for the next spawning wave of marines. Similarly the 3 minute fade is just lame as you can't afford the counters yet as a marine.

So you thik it takes no skill to kill 4 marines with HMG as an onos?
What I want to know is why people say "LOL ONOS NO KSILL NUBLET" When it obviously does take skill. It takes a good week of on-off playing to actually be able to devour someone most of the time, and another week ontop of that to learn what things are likely to block you. Also, I see more noobs going fade or staying as skulk than anything else.
