Looks ok, but its a retexture not a remake, might want to turn those pimple patches into actual mountain ranges.

I actually think it looks great, don't let bruce bring you down. and those mountains he calls pimple patches are fine. I truly feel that you shouldn't mess with a classic too much. It'll lose it's charm if you do.

okay, I have not played the map yet, but does the middle island have the inordinately high concentration of metal patches, and is still accessible by ground from only the western continent? I always thought that those were two real weaknesses in the original...

Mmm.. the original wasn't the best of maps. Never got any play in multiplayer. I'd change a few things around if you want to see it get any play.

Well, i just played this map with some of my friends, and we all agreed that while it was a good idea for you to add metal to the water below, we feel that by putting more metal by the traditional startpoints you've drastically changed the way that that map plays out. And the fact that there is NO metal AT ALL on the northern mini island (you know, the little one that makes or breaks a player's northern fleet.)

Could you at least create a second version that uses the traditional metal placement? For us old school guys? You know, have two variants of the map?
