Spring RTS Engine

Ok here is the link to a publicity trailer for the mod Final Frontier.

(there is a short timer at the top right which says "Bitte warten X sekunden" which means that you must wait a short time before you can click on "Zum Starten des Downloads hier klicken")

The file is 177 MB big, has a resolution of 720 x 480 and is 7:54 mins.
I didnt used many flashy or colored special effects like in the springshowcase beta video because i want to show you scenes like they are in game (battlescenes ).
Also the video is based on a new version (1.17) which will be online the next days (perhaps today if i m not too lazy).

Sure you uploaded the right video?

Bcause yours would be MUCH better without the ugly megalensflares, the random, needless inverse cuts, the annoying "stacked cuts" (hard to descripe), and of course the unmotivated horizontal "wrap-over" scrollings during the few scenes where actually something happens.

Ah, and please dont interlaceing. It really hurts the titles....

To the inverse cut and the horizontal move: Are you sure that it wouldnt be too boring if all the time the scenes are nearly equal (perspectively). That would be as watching a replay.
Ah and what you mean with interlacing with the titels? Can you give me an example?

Perhaps i will change some of your points if more think the same, but i will wait if thats only your oppinion or the oppinion of most - but thanks for the feedback.
Btw i found a spelling error (Blaser instead of Blaster), so i think i will put a new version anyway. So you have now the chance of saying what sucks and what not!
Edit: Oh i see what you mean with the megalensflares. In my last step i increased the gamma value and forgot that this will affect the lensflares. Will change them back to a normal value.

but, yeah... overall, it looked good (you reused that base clip a couple too many times though)

really nice but some novice use of the spring engine, using t gives teh ugly green box floating in midair!
use ctrl and a FPS camera view (ctrl slows the camera down to make for some epic shots).

OWH AND FIX THE MOD :p

i didnt want to use the fps sight because than you would see, that the asteroids are only platforms :D.
The green box.. hm yeah sucks.

in fact you see the base 2 times and they are both different (from different times - the one base is bigger)

hm i really like the musik. I m not a techno fan so i think its ok, but musik is really a question of taste

it was a nice mix, iron maiden's wicker man and other nice songs. needs emo tho
