I'm finding it fun...

Butane can be compressed to a liquid, but at room temperature, it becomes more of a gas. However, this vapor/gas state is heavy, and tends to sink slowly through air.

So..?

So, I'm finding it fun to pour the vapor from a lighter into the cracks in my keyboard (or the spaces in between my keys, whatever you call them), let it sit for a second, and then light it. The result?

You get a nice sizzle from all the dust and hair burning beneath your keys.

I have not, however, had a lasting fire (it's more of a pop/burst), and all of my keys, at least think all of them, still work.

abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz.,/`1234567890-=[];'\/*-789456+1230.

Yes, they all still work..

..so far.

You can hear it sizzle, but no, not really. If you get down and sniff it, yeah, but it's not strong enough to last.

I'll wait until 200 people have tried it before I start pouring flammables into my keys... Or I'll have a new keyboard by then.

Heh heh heh... somewhere, an idiot 15 year old who reads this forum is putting a bunch of butane in his laptop keyboard. I'd pay to see that.

I still can't say for sure if this can destroy a keyboard or not.

to go to a more technical note, I doub't that it would destroy the keyboard unless you used a lot of fluid, reason being it doesn't have enought time to really get hot, warm maybe, but not hot. Also, ingredients in lighter fluid are present in electronics cleaning agents iirc.
