Mod idea

HAHA! That's right, a mod idea!
Anyway, not the typical mod idea, so hold your flame throwers for a while.

jcnossen has been presenting some test versions to test if things are all right.

What i propose is that a mod be made specifically for testing new versions of the engine. It should have units with high HP and low/moderate damage with nice round numbers (enough to be tested if damage dealt is beeing done properly) and units/buildings with all sort of possible and weird stuff the engine might allow. Also, if possible, in the easiest way possible to test it (like cloacked units having a big radius of decloacking so it can be tested easily).

Fine idea.

I'm thinking about making a little simple mod that can be used as a mod making tutorial.
Using basic shapes like blocks, spheres, cones, etc. and a basic resource system.

There is work on-going for a mod with a similar intent, except that we're trying to make a copyright free showcase mod for everything spring can do, which is perhaps somewhat different to what you are after...
