None of the tutorials I find can put it all in newbie

language, I hardly understand anything except moddeling and the rest is a complete blur, I have tried on my own, and no UVing or skinning is working at all! I wish someone would make a guide about this for newbies.
None of the ones I can find do anything at all that helps, and they lead me in loops, when nobody actually has the proper guide...
I would be looking for simplicity, controls, keys, things in proper order, convertings, and pretty much everything that has to do with Skinning texturing and uving!

Wings3d has an excellent manual, before you ask, no I will not link you.. it is easy to find...
http://www.google.com type in wings3d perform a search and get the program and manual. The manual has uvmapping covered in it.

http://taspring.clan-sy.com/wiki/Mod_an ... evlopement <- is a link page wich contains most (all) guides what has to do with creating models for spring use. (SinbadEV's is one of them).
However, UV-mapping and the modeling it's self is ofcourse bound to the program you use.
So indeed use google to look up basic tutorials for your program. Normally, a good guide is provided along with the program, ususally found under "help".
Anyway: good luck, and don't be scared to ask anything.

Only you. Snipawolf knows that we are willing to help him. Unlike someone else who crapped himself as soon as he tried uvmapping.

no problem. Wings3d has a pretty neat manual. I am going to read the rest of it tonight. In all honesty I still think you and Chrispin really need to try out a simple one turret tank. It will help you learn what object setup is viable and what will work out as far as scripting.
These are important things to consider when modeling content for a game or mod.

Sure, we can try, it's getting kinda late, but I might make that model, today or tomorrow.
