Problems with water

I just installed Spring and I'm having problems with water - regardless of what I choose (normal, reflective, dynamic) all I get is this (thumbnail - click to enlarge):
This looks ugly - obviously water wasn't meant to look like this...

I have Geforce 4 Ti 4200 128 MB RAM and I have newest drivers installed - anyone has an idea what can I do to fix this?

I have the same problem with some maps, might be a map problem?

Turn on your 32/24-bit (whatever it is) z-buffer. Perhaps your card isn't capable of higher z-buffers? The GF4 series is quite old.

Eeeeh? There are only 32 bit and 16 bit z-buffers in settings ... there aren't any higher (and changing from 32 to 16 didn't work)
Also, checking another map I noticed additional errors - the water is wisible trough land after zooming out

you need 24 bit,
you can change it somewhere in your registery, or wait on next spring version, then it will be fixed in settings.exe

i have this same problem when i use my GF4 ti4600 at work. anyone that has a GF4 has this issue. the card is really old, back from 2002 i believe, and i wouldn't expect much out of it at this point. just a quick not, the GF4 can only run normal water.
