Do you hate spring's in-game text?

If your answer to that question is yes then here's a solution :

1 - look in your Fonts folder (you can access it via Control panel)

2 - find a font you like / big enough for you.

3 - Rename it to Luxi and put it in your spring folder- voila!

You have to do that everytime spring is updated (as in an update package, not a lobby update).

Some people found that post of mine quite helpful on GR.org - so here it is for you people :P.

Any suggested fonts?

I've tried a few and they all come out super-small ingame

you should be able to turn off the blue box like you can turn off the the whole thing by f5 but instead just the blue box goes away.

I'm using one called Karma Suture (from themeworld.com iirc), but there are probably several that are good that are 'default' fonts. Like Courier.

Is there an easy way to just make the font straight-up bigger?

Arial is always good for readability, but Verdana probably pwns all. (Hint: this font is verdana)

Ah, as soon as I saw that font file I was changing my spring font. This brings up the issue that there should be a way to select your in game font from the settings program.

Verdana turns out far too small in Spring. =S

Lucida Console ftw. But I'm currently using the Twentieth Century Poster font (you know the font they used in the 50s or something). It's sorty looks cool AND it's readable (aside from first thoughts).

Heh heh, that is a good font actually. I wonder how much work it'd be to make a built-in font picker for settings.exe that just reads straight from the windows font directory?
