you heard they shut down Piratbyran (HQ of pirates in sweden) and Piratpartiet (Political party of pirates) as well? Using taxes to shut down political opposition... legal as well.
Something is wrong when theyre using our money, to remove our services...

well, it's not quite as simple as that...if some political party in the 'western' world was blatantly hatemongering (with evidence) then they'd be shut down...eg the good old nazzinators.
granted it's a little more fuzzy with the whole 'maybe' it's illegal to host torrents...but having a policy of promoting something illegal that is costly to a big rich (powerful) industry is going to attract some bad attention from the powers that be, even if it's a case of someone being leaned on by someone being leaned on by someone being leaned on by the american media industry.
what was i talking about?

Are you sure they wheren't on the same server as Piratebay? Sevral smaller computer companies complained that their whole service has gone thanks to the raid.

I know for a fact that at least Piratbyrån was taken down on purpose.
They've lost several debates against the pirates as well. On TV. Live. pwned.

no links to piracy oriented websites here plz -moderator
SITE DOWN - WILL BE UP AND FULLY FUNCTIONAL WITHIN A DAY OR TWO
hehehe
EDIT: its kinda scary also that the swedish police did this only after MPAA had talked to the whitehouse, which had talked to the swedish police. The swedish police was hesitant do do the raid before, because it didn't have LEGAL BACKING. They took down
http://istheshit.net aswell..

Well... if they beat this, and that means them having zero illegal anything on their computers, not even a single MP3 that they don't own the orriginal of on a single seised computer, then it's a great day for fileshareing... otherwise... crap.

Its not their personal PC's, its just the webservers. There wont be anything illegal on those. anakata is strict with taht.
