...and my Anti-Air starts shooting straight up

I was playing AA 1.48 with a few folks, and then all of a sudden, all of my Anti-air (Pop up anti-swarm, flak, my ally's Orcone) starting firing STRAIGHT UP into the air! The missiles then started to come straight down and destroy our own base. Needless to say we lost!
Is this a bug or some sort of enemy tactic I am unaware of?

I'v seen this happen before (might've been playing against you...), one of my fighters got stuck randomly high in the air and just circled around. A load of peewees started firing at it and peppered the map with their shots. =P

There were enemy spots on the radar in our bases, but there were no units there

sounds like fun!

Maybe there were some of this stealth spybot thingys, but why would AA fire at them?
A replay or screenshots would be usefull.
(replays are autosaved, host them in the lobby to watch them or go to the \demos folder)

There is a bug in Spring in which flying units will occasional decide to fly extremely high in the air and not come down. What causes it is unknown. The check to see if they are in range doesn't take into account altitude, so they will think its range when it actually is not.

Just today i had the same problem, my lev1 AA kbots started shooting straigt up, and after a while their own shots came down blowing up my base (thats why i lost the battle

). Not only misile units started firing up.
we need a patch...

It isn't a mod bug and AA 1.5 almost certainly won't be a patch...

Hmm.. yeah, it's kinda funny that the game disregards altitude when calculating weapon range... And it's a big problem if melee unit are to ever be made...
