huge box shadow bug?

i cant figure it out, tried playing with shadow settings, and its like that on any mod and map. my graphics cards are driver updated

Try both 16 as 32 (actually 24)-bit Z-buffer.
Next to that, I can't think of anything. It's quite odd.

Looks like a good ole' graphics card bug. Check your drivers, Or if you can't be bothered to do that, buy a new Pc.

ummm drivers updated as i said, shadow size makes no difference.
computer stats: grins
amd athlon fx 60 dual core processor 2.61 ghz 2.9 G ram
gfx cards ATI radeon x1900 xtx crossfired with an x1900 xf edition
and blah balh blah 3 hds

Yeah sounds like you've got a really crappy... uh hardware there. Probably got bugged. You should take it back, but they'll probably not do anything about it.
Hey, if you pay shipping I'd give you $50 for it though.

unpl;ug one of your vid cards. it might be crossfire thats messing it up. you shouldve gone with either SLI or waited until Crossfire matured a little and became more stable

n/m i fixed it.. but it looks crappy at 1024 shadows
i geuss there was a small driver update and then i played around with my settings, and it works at 1024, but at 2048 i still get that ugly shadow box thing

Indeed. That processor is craptastic. You are lucky to have so many people who are willing to trade it for money. If i had a pc that bad, I'd probeblty have to pay someone else to have it.
