http://www.microsoft.com/spyware

I would suggest the following programs:

MS Defender
SpyBot Search and Destroy
AdAware
Pest Patrol (It cost money but you may be able to get it free from your ISP)

Normand Antivirus Sux0rz the 1

Anyways... the best suggestion is to google the titles of the particular ads your getting and you will usually come up with results that suggest specific tools for removing them... I had one malware that had made pop-ups using the system api instead of IE and none of my 3 Anti-Pest programs worked and I needed to get a specific tool...

Pest-Patrol is the only tool I know that has a boot tool (boot into dos-safemode and run a batch script to remove particularly nasty bugs...), I wish other companies would have these things... I mean, back in the day EVERY anti-virus had a boot scan, and now none of them do... pisses me off.

I as well use firefox. i almost never get hit by spyware, but now i got the big one.
The reason of me using Norman is that i got it free with my comp.

I use the follwing :

Ad-Aware
Spyware Blaster (google it - It pervents spyware from starting up if it's already installed / installing itself from a page)
Spyware Doctor (catches w/e Ad-aware can't
MyBrain Anti-Virus (Yes, you read correct.)

Personally I strongly reccomend installing spyware blaster ;).

What kind of games are you playing at the moment (like, the past few months) and which type do you play most often?

There are a few types of games that have a serious presence on the Linux scene.

Firefox + AdAware + SpyBot + Windows Firewall + Spysweeper + Norton + McAfee

I'm a crazy paranoid bugger.

HyjackThis is the most powerful antispyware sweep out there. It monitors all the crap going through common system weakpoints and reports it to you, so you see absolutly everything that could possibly be spyware, keep aware though, you will get alot of false positives, so don't delete anything you recognize as safe if HT is reporting it.

If you remove spyware and it is regenerating itself you very likely have a virus propogating that spyware. Download avast, it's easily the best free antivirus out there.

Remember, always run all spyware and virus scans from safemode. Background processes have too much control over your system on a regular boot, and there's no way you can perminatly remove viruses that are written to use them if you have malicious ones running in the background.

My spyware is...Mcaffee...I think...

I've had the occasional problem with viruses, but nothing major.

For Future Reference, MY "Security Suite" is as follows:

- An auto-install version of Windows XP with all of the crap turned off called "WinborgXP"
- Being behind a router that none of my Friends can crack
- Firefox as a Browser
- Not Being stupid
- A linux partition, invisible to windows in case things go really bad.

That's right... I even have windows firewall turned off... no antispyware tools... no antivirus.
