Since we have no cotroll over how our plasma shots look I made these:
Get the here
These are free for anyone to use... Spring devs, they are yours. I am giving them to the project.
Some of you might not like them That is fine, don't use them but they are here for those of you that want them.

These are models?
They look alot better then the modeled plasma shots I've seen other mods use

I did some s3o models with fullbrights. Something quick but as I make missiles, bullets, tracer rounds I will be giving them to the community.
Just something that I figured all of us(modders) need as a resource.

Is there a way to lose the smoke? Or make it look more...plasmay?

the smoke is something I set on that weapon. and that is the best you are getting unless I get transparencies... there is still a free blue channel they can use... hint hint.

I done something similar, I made some tracer S3O models.
We really need alpha though since it still looks like they are models straight out of TA....

so I don't need to do a tracer set?

Look at the flame on the missiles of the demon in nanoblobz, if they where sped up and attatched to a weapon with no smoke trail and a mdoel that coundt be seen they'd work much better

AF, you are missing the point...
you cannot have different colored ones. However, it is nice to know that you completely missed the point. These are here being GIVEN TO OTHERS... as in... this is like someone handing you some money it is free stuff to help other moders along.
Yeah, if we had CONTROL over the explosions and effects.. that would be different. This at least lets us have different colored projectiles. Hey, if you people don't want me to give models and textures that can help improve over the crappy ported modeled "plasma" shots of OTA then hell have fun.
Wow, thanks for the big bag of unappreciated first thing in the morning.
......................................................................
this morning I also did some missiles and bombs but I am not releasing it till' I do a size chart for you guys. I'll be releasing that later on. Also Zwzsg, thanks for being the only one to appreciate the gesture.

Good question. I'll have a google around. The aim of a tracer is not to light things up so much as see where your rounds are going, min.
edit: according to my sources it is a bright lime green, like the first green in your first post.

I'd assume it'd be bright since bright green is an easy color to get, I mean physically. It's just burning barium salt, if memory serves.

Got ya lime green. I will include that color.
